Having grown up watching these characters grace the silver screen, it’s nothing short of nostalgic bliss to witness this long-awaited team-up.

Approaching $600 million at global box offices, Deadpool and Wolverine are almost at this figure as they enter their second weekend.

If you’re intending to watch the popular film this coming weekend, you may be curious if it’s worth staying through the end credits. Given that it’s part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there’s often additional content to appreciate after the main story ends.

If you left after watching Deadpool & Wolverine without knowing how it concluded, you may be curious about what transpired afterward.

Here, we provide a comprehensive overview of everything there is to know about the post-credits scenes featuring Deadpool and Wolverine.

How many credit scenes does Deadpool and Wolverine have?

The movie includes just one post-credit scene, which is shown when the credits finish rolling.)

Additionally, there’s an element that continues throughout most of the closing credits, which some might view as another post-credit sequence. Yet, it’s not exactly a scene; instead, it’s an unanticipated something else.

If you need to hurry off as soon as the credits roll, or you’re curious about events that occur during and beyond the closing credits, prepare yourself, as we’re about to disclose everything. So, if you’d rather steer clear of any spoilers, it might be best for you to look away now.

As I watched the closing moments unfold, I was treated to a delightful montage of backstage footage from numerous Fox Marvel films, including the iconic collaboration between Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in the memorable X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The scene is accompanied by Green Day’s ‘Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)’, making it quite engaging. You might find it worthwhile to stay, regardless if the end credits don’t particularly grab your attention.

It isn’t certain whether Billie Joe Armstrong’s original song, which could be a sincere tribute or a witty joke in the style of Deadpool, was written out of deep anger towards his former girlfriend relocating to Ecuador, or if it had another motivation altogether.

Since then, Reynolds shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram featuring a picture from 2015 of several Fox Marvel cast members, suggesting that the post is sincere and not meant as a criticism or dig.

As a devoted fan, I’m not just acknowledging Deadpool’s casual “Hello” to the Marvel Cinematic Universe; it’s so much more than that. It’s a poignant goodbye from Deadpool, Hugh Jackman, and Ryan Reynolds, bidding adieu to a realm and an epoch that has profoundly shaped us. We are eternally indebted to the whimsical, unpredictable, and daring world of 20th Century Fox – a universe that left its indelible mark on us.

As a gamer, I can tell you that our epic origin tale is something we cherish deeply and wouldn’t give up for any other experience. A big thanks goes out to Kevin Feige and Disney for granting us the opportunity to share this incredible journey with everyone.

Deadpool and Wolverine post-credit scene explained

Instead of hinting at a potential upcoming film, the post-credit scene for Deadpool and Wolverine is a humorous callback to an earlier event in the movie.

In a fresh turn of events, Deadpool once more finds himself in the Time Variance Authority (TVA), leveraging their advanced tech to reenact the sequence where he, Wolverine, and Johnny Storm (Chris Evans stepping into his Fantastic Four persona again) are being escorted towards Cassandra Nova.

When they meet Cassandra earlier in the movie, Deadpool unleashes an offensive, profanity-laden description of what he claims Johnny said about Cassandra, none of it flattering. Johnny protests that he didn’t say a word of it, but Cassandra still flays him alive.

In the extra scene after the credits, Deadpool shares a previously undisclosed event from his trip to Cassandra, aiming to clarify matters and demonstrate that he wasn’t responsible for Johnny’s death in a violent manner.

The evidence clearly shows that Johnny did indeed make all the statements, such as suggesting that Cassandra could clean his cinnamon donut with her tongue, and threatening to relieve himself on her freshly grilled body once it’s barbecued.

And we’ve kept it relatively clean, there’s much worse.

Once the clip is over, Deadpool turns to the camera and says: “Got you, f**kface.”

After the thrilling surprise screening at Comic-Con, I couldn’t help but share that it was all thanks to Reynolds that I felt compelled to slip back into the role once more.

He reminisced that Ryan was a pal of his. Recently, Ryan had messaged him, “Hey, this might be a stretch, but are you at all interested in reviving something we worked on twenty years back?” To which he excitedly replied, “Wow! Absolutely!”

Evans further stated, “He’s nearly unbeatable due to his self-awareness. He manages to deliver jokes even before the crowd can think of one.”

If you plan on reintroducing a character and need to ensure the story flows well, Ryan’s humor is versatile enough to handle most situations. As a result, his presence gives a comforting feeling of security.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share my excitement when I tell you about the magical moment I found myself in the company of Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Shawn Levy, with a photo to prove it! The surprise revelation that Johnny Storm is making a comeback, as shared by Evans himself, feels like a dream come true for me.

“He’ll always have a special place in my heart,” he added.

No, YOU’RE crying.
