Imu, who’s quickly becoming a seriously intimidating final villain, just spends almost the entire issue flexing this incredible power of his, called Omen. It’s like a full-on demonstration! He basically declares he’s going after the leader of Elbaf, the island of the Giants, and then just destroys everything until he finds them. It’s a really intense setup!

Imu easily deflects attacks from both Luffy and Sanji. Completely unaffected by the Straw Hats’ efforts, Imu uses powerful Omens on the defeated Knights of God, shifting the battle strongly in favor of the World Government.

As a huge One Piece fan, I’m so excited the anime is back from break! It’s a bit of a tricky situation for the manga, though. With the anime starting the Elbaf Arc on April 5th, it feels like everyone – both anime watchers and manga readers – are experiencing the story together again. Honestly, I can see why some people might be pausing their manga reading; the anime’s animation really is looking fantastic after the hiatus!

Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece isn’t currently in the top rankings. New releases like Spy x Family, Dandadan, and Case Closed (also known as Detective Conan) are performing very well, temporarily pushing One Piece out of the top ten.

Good news for One Piece fans! Volume 112, called “The Harley,” will be available in English on July 7, 2026. This volume, containing chapters 1134-1144, is a key part of Luffy’s story, with rising tensions and a dangerous siege on Elbaf Island led by Imu.
