If you haven’t watched Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney’s brilliant show, Catastrophe, you should do it soon! It’s leaving Netflix on April 25th, so if you’re watching or want to start, now’s the time.
Horgan and Delaney not only created the show, but they also star in it. They play Sharon, an Irish elementary school teacher, and Rob, an American businessman, who meet for the first time at a London bar.
They initially plan a short, casual romance before Rob returns home to the United States. However, their six-day connection leads to an unexpected pregnancy and a complicated new relationship, dramatically altering both of their futures.

Catastrophe is a sitcom that ran for four seasons, with a total of 24 episodes. It first aired on Channel 4 between 2015 and 2019. Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan not only starred in the show but also wrote it, and they served as executive producers along with Richard Allen-Turner, Kara Baker, and Jon Thoday.
The show also stars Ashley Jensen, Mark Bonnar, and Frances Tomelty. And it was really cool to see Carrie Fisher as Rob’s mom, Mia, in the first three seasons – it was so sad when she passed away in 2016.
