Soon after the first movie came out, Judd Apatow floated the idea of a sequel focusing on Debbie and Pete’s daughter, Sadie (played by Maude Apatow). He mentioned starting to write a script for a potential This Is 50 in early 2022, but there haven’t been any updates since.
