The latest Brawl Stars update, revealed in the April 2026 Brawl Talk, is huge! It includes three new playable characters (Brawlers), two exciting collaborations, fresh game modes, a complete redesign of Blings, and lots of other additions. Let’s take a closer look at everything new!

Brawl Stars April 2026 Brawl Talk: New Brawlers and Game Modes

New Brawlers in Brawl Stars

So, this update brings three very unique Brawlers, each with their own unique mechanics and charm.

1. Damian

Damian, brother to Draco and a member of the Maddeavl Trio with Lumi, is a fighter who uses punches. Every third punch he lands knocks enemies back and sets them on fire, causing an explosion that damages anyone nearby. His Super ability throws him and his opponents into a chaotic moshpit surrounded by speakers. Enemies can either battle Damian inside, or try to break the speakers and escape.

He’s bringing his special ability, Hypercharge, which creates flames on the ground when you land – it’s called “Jump in the Fire.” As hinted at in the collaboration music video by Electric Callboy, Damian will be available on April 24, 2026.

2. Starr Nova

Next up is Starr Nova, a cosplayer known for really getting into her character. Her regular attack fires two shots in a row, but her special ability is what makes her stand out. It lets her quickly dash forward, damaging enemies, and then transform into a more powerful form.

For a brief time, you’ll switch to attacking with a sword that creates a cone-shaped area of effect, and you’ll move faster. Hitting enemies will also restore your health. This character will be available to play in May.

3. Bolt

Okay, so Bolt is seriously shaking things up! He’s designed after those old Battle Bustez toys, and his gameplay is totally different from anything I’ve seen. Basically, the faster I roll around, the more damage I do, but I have to be careful – hitting walls or making quick turns really slows me down. It’s a risk-reward kind of thing, and it’s super fun to master!

The Super upgrade makes Bolt even quicker, boosting acceleration and reducing damage taken. It also leaves a damaging trail, similar to the hero Barats in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Bolt is scheduled to launch in June 2026.

Game Modes

1. Super Ball Game Mode

I’m so hyped for the Adidas collaboration event coming in June 2026! They’re adding a new game mode called Super Ball, and it sounds amazing. Basically, it’s football-inspired, so there’s a goalie you have to get past, but you can actually stun them if you deal enough damage. Plus, they’re introducing a cool new kicking system where you can charge up shots, hurt opponents, and string together super-fast passes with your team. It’s going to be a game-changer!

2. Starr Patrol Season Game mode

A new game mode is coming with the Starr Patrol Season! It works a bit like a special rule change: collect Crystals to transform into Starr Patrol characters – or even Spike! Each transformation gives you unique abilities inspired by the original Brawlers.

Players can also look forward to a challenging boss fight against Void Finx and Void Colette, taking on both of them at once. After completing all difficulty settings, a time trial mode will unlock, letting you race the clock to beat the bosses as quickly as possible.

Brawl Stars April 2026 Brawl Talk: Bling Rework, Oddities Shop, Buffies, and more

Bling Rework and Oddities Shop

This update includes a major refresh for Bling, as we previously announced with the cosmetic system update. The Shop is getting a new look, and the Oddities Shop, featuring Juju, will now be where you spend most of your Bling.

So, the Catalog is gone after this update – no more buying Bling there! But don’t worry, you can still see what used to be in the Catalog through the Brawler screen. Instead of the Catalog, we’re getting something new called the Oddities Shop. It’ll have rotating bundles with Skins, Drops, and – get this – even stuff to help you level up! This is the first time we can actually get progression items using Bling, which is pretty cool.

Buffies

This season, the game is simplifying the ‘Buffies’ system. Instead of several Trio Machines, there will now be just one, making it easier to choose the Buffie you want. They’re also updating the Free Buffie.

Okay, so the developers are changing how we get free Buffies! Instead of getting one per machine, we’ll now get one random Buffie with each update – that’s awesome! Plus, they’re finally giving some new Buffies to the Gift Shop Trio – Griff, Colette, and Edgar. I’ve been waiting for this!

Brawl Stars April 2026 Brawl Talk: New skins, collabs, and more

The developers are updating how skins look and function, particularly regarding their rarity levels. New Mythic skins will feature special visual effects when you defeat opponents, and Legendary skins will have effects both when you appear in the game and when you take down enemies. However, these new visual effects won’t be added to skins that were released previously.

New Skins

1. Starr Patrol Season skins

I’m so hyped for the new Starr Patrol Season! They’re going all-out with the anime-inspired skins, especially for Spike. You can unlock him in a bunch of different looks – Starr Patrol Spike, plus some cool chromas, and then there’s the Starr Scout and Starr Guardian versions as part of the Brawl Pass. On the villain side, Colette is getting some awesome skins too! There’s Void Colette, and then White Dwarf and Black Hole Colette chromas to collect. It’s a really cool theme overall!

You’ll also receive the Starr Patrol Juju, Bea, and Amber skins, along with darker versions called Void Amber and Void Master Finx.

2. Brawl Strikers Season Skins

The new Brawl Strikers Season introduces a fresh set of skins! You can unlock Super Ball Gene, along with his alternate styles Keeper Gene and Score Stopper Gene, through the Brawl Pass. Another skin set features Super Ball Carl, with Striker Carl and Kicker Carl as color variations. Plus, there are skins for Refereeple, Super Striker Lou, Scroekeeper Surge, and Gridiron Otis.

3. My Hero Academia Collab skins

I’m really excited to see that Brawl Stars is teaming up with My Hero Academia! The collaboration will feature awesome new skins for several characters, including All Might as El Primo, Tomura Shigaraki as Gus, Uravity as Janet, Deku as Fang, and Bakugo as Edgar. These skins will become available shortly after the next update.

And don’t forget the Esports Jackie skin – buying it helps directly fund our partnered esports teams.

New Hypercharges

The game is bringing a new hypercharge for the recently released Brawler:

  • Najia’s Twin Snakes Hypecharge: With this, you can spawn two times more jars with each snake leaving a poison trail as they move.

Quality-of-life improvements

One of the best updates, in my opinion, is the ability to report players who are being toxic in Trophy Games. It works a lot like Ranked – if enough people report someone, they’ll get a warning first. But if they keep being disruptive, they’ll be temporarily banned from playing team modes and will only be able to play Solo Showdown. It’s a great way to keep the community positive!

You can now also mark your friends as favorites, and you’ll be notified whenever they come online. The Friends screen has also been updated with a fresh new look. And, you can finally add notes to your friends’ profiles to help you remember details about them.
