The 2026 esports season for Clash of Clans is starting with exciting news: the World Championship and Town Hall Cups! Supercell promises these events will be larger and more competitive than ever, designed for up-and-coming players. The league is set to begin on June 26th, and we’ll be following all the action.
This event is open to players with Town Halls at levels 9, 12, or 15. The World Championship, however, will be for Town Hall 18 players only. This article details everything we know about the event so far.
Clash of Clans Town Hall Cups 2026: Schedule and Format
Supercell has simplified the system this year to make it more accessible for players. Teams will be smaller, leading to quicker teamwork and more exciting battles. Here’s a breakdown of the changes:
- TH9: 2v2
- TH12: 3v3
- TH15: 3v3
The Town Hall Cups will happen in four phases: three monthly qualifying tournaments, a China Regional Qualifier, a Last Chance Qualifier, and a final competition. These monthly qualifiers will start with a ladder phase where teams play 20 matches, earning points to improve their ranking.
Once the qualifying period ends, the 128 teams with the most points move on to a double-elimination tournament. This means each match is crucial – a loss eliminates a team. After the tournament, only the top 8 teams will be left.
The monthly championships will use a double-elimination format, meaning teams have a second chance after their first loss. The two winning teams from these championships will join four other teams to compete in the Town Hall Cup Finals, making a total of six finalists.
China will have its own qualifying event. The best team from the China Regional Qualifier will earn a spot in the Town Hall Cup Finals. The Last Chance Qualifier will give teams that didn’t finish in the top 128 of the Monthly Qualifiers another opportunity to compete. They’ll play in a double-elimination bracket to win the final place at the Town Hall Cup Finals.
The championship will be decided in the Grand Finals, where eight top teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket. The final team remaining will be declared the 2026 Town Hall Cup World Champions.
Prize Pool
The 2026 Town Hall Cups will offer a total of $70,000 in prizes, distributed among players at Town Hall levels 9, 12, and 15. Here’s how the prize money will be divided:
| Town Hall Season | Prize Pool |
|---|---|
| TH9 Season | $10,000 |
| TH12 Season | $20,000 |
| TH15 Season | $40,000 |
