Daffodil is a powerful, top-tier character in Neverness to Everness, classified as a Chaos liquid type. She’s designed to be the primary damage dealer in a team, using her abilities and ultimate move to inflict significant break damage. This guide will cover everything you need to know about building Daffodil, including her skills, optimal Arc choices, Console setup, and best team compositions.
Neverness to Everness Daffodil Build Guide: Kit explained
Daffodil is a powerful character who focuses on dealing direct damage in battle. She excels at quickly breaking through enemy defenses – faster than most other damage-dealing characters – making her a valuable asset to any team. Here’s a look at how her Skills, Ultimate ability, and Passive talents work.
Skill
When she uses her ability, she deals Chaos damage and builds up Resonance stacks. Additionally, the damage she deals increases whenever a teammate uses a support skill. Her Break damage is boosted by the number of support skill stacks she has, up to a maximum of two stacks. Each stack increases her Break damage by 125% and adds a 50% Chaos damage bonus.
Once her power is fully charged, she changes her position and attacks with her sword, inflicting Chaos damage on the enemy.
Ultimate
This attack deals Chaos damage to enemies in a targeted area. Activating it also opens her left eye, boosting her damage and applying the ‘Insight’ effect. Insight causes extra damage when breaking enemy defenses, and is removed if the enemy’s shield is destroyed. Additionally, she gains access to the ‘Phantom Step’ skill, which can be used twice.
Using her Ultimate resets Phantom Step. While active, Phantom Step allows her to deal significant Chaos and Break damage with each hit, effectively doubling her damage output. Phantom Step also activates automatically when you switch to or from Daffodil.
Passive Skills
- Blade Draw: When you trigger a Discord reaction, enemies’ Break cap reduces by 10% for 30 seconds. When you switch characters during combat, Break cap is further reduced by 30%. With this passive, you can break enemies’ shields faster.
- Cicada Shell: Increases Daffodil’s DEF by 50% for 5 seconds when casting Phantom Step.
Neverness to Everness Daffodil Build Guide: Best Arcs
| Arcs | Effects |
|---|---|
| Youthful Fantasy (S) | Increases Break Intensity by 60. Seals Arc: Black Tome with two chains by default. Unleashes 1 chain each time any character on the team casts a Support Skill. Makes Arc: Black Tome available when both chains are unleashed.
Arc: Black Tome — Summons the Black Tome for 20s. Designates an enemy every 5s. Increases the wearer’s Chaos DMG dealt to designated enemies by 20%. Deals Chaos DMG equal to 2% of the wearer’s ATK to designated enemies when they take Break Damage. It’s her best arc. Her damage relies on Break intensity, so any arc with Break Intensity is a very good choice for her. |
| Shiny Days (A) | Increases Break Intensity by 48. Increases DMG by 10% against Broken units.
It’s a very good alternative arc for Daffodil. |
Neverness to Everness Daffodil Build Guide: Best Console
| Console | Effects |
|---|---|
| Diabolos | Epic (2): Chaos DMG +10%.
Legendary (4): Ignores 12% of enemies’ Chaos RES. Ignores 24% of enemies’ Chaos RES for 20 seconds after the wearer participates in Nova or Scorch reactions. It’s her best console set, which ignores Chaos res and increases Chaos DMG. |
Stat Priority: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG > DEF%
Daffodil Best Team Comps
Daffodil/Sakiri/Fadia/Adler
This Discord team focuses on using reactions to lower enemies’ defense. Daffodil is our primary damage dealer. Sakiri boosts the team’s abilities and controls enemies, while Fadia redirects damage and provides overall buffs. Adler acts as our team’s shield and also deals damage over time.
Daffodil/Fadia/Lacrimosa/Haniel/Adler
This team focuses on dealing extra damage to enemies using Discord reactions. Fadia and Daffodil have similar roles within the team. Lacrimosa acts as our second damage dealer, contributing both direct damage and damage over time, while also boosting the effectiveness of the Discord reactions. Adler is responsible for triggering those Discord reactions and providing a protective shield.
Daffodil/Baicang/Sakiri/Adler
This team centers around the Scorch reaction, focusing on dealing damage over time. Adler weakens enemies with random effects after triggering Scorch and also gives the whole team a shield. Baicang is a powerful attacker who also boosts the damage from Scorch. Sakiri controls enemies and makes them more vulnerable to damage over time effects.
