The Devil Wears Prada 2 star Simone Ashley is finally asked about THOSE pictures of her cosy date with Joshua Jackson and whether she’s in a romance with anyone now

Simone Ashley has addressed the photos of her and Joshua Jackson on what appeared to be a date last summer.

Phoebe Dynevor, 31, known for her role in Bridgerton, was seen with actor Matthew Goode, 47, in New York City last August, and the two appeared relaxed and at ease together.

I can’t believe it! He’s been spending time with her! It’s only been two years since his split from Jodie Turner-Smith, the mother of his adorable little Juno, who’s six now, and already this is happening. I’m trying not to freak out, but seriously, this is HUGE!

In a recent interview, Simone was asked about her dating life, but she chose to keep it to herself, telling The Sunday Times Style Magazine she prefers to keep that information private.

Last December, news broke that Simone and her boyfriend, businessman Tim Sykes, had ended their relationship only a few months after they started dating.

The Daily Mail initially reported in September that she was dating the silver-haired man after they were seen kissing at the US Open in New York.

Simone will appear in the upcoming sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, set to release on May 1st. She’ll be playing Amari, the new assistant to Miranda Priestley, played by Meryl Streep.

She shared that Anne Hathaway (who played Andrea Sachs) was incredibly kind and welcoming when they first met on set, describing her as a truly genuine person.

She described feeling very emotional when she found out she’d gotten the part, saying it was a reaction unlike any she’d had before.

Simone, whose parents are from Tamil Nadu, India but who was born in England, is also known for her role in the Netflix series Sex Education.

Ashley has appeared in supporting roles on popular shows like Broadchurch and The Sister, but recently she’s become a sought-after actress in film.

I’ve been following her career closely, and it’s been amazing to see her pop up in some really cool projects! She started with smaller roles in films like Detective Pikachu and the live-action Little Mermaid, but then she had a fun cameo as herself in F1 with Brad Pitt. And just recently, I heard she was on set filming for the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada – I can’t wait to see what role she’s playing!

Oh my gosh, Simone, who played Kate Sharma – Kate Sharma! – basically said she’d drop everything if Bridgerton called her back! She was talking about how much she loves the show and how loyal she is to it, and honestly, same! It’s like she’s ready to clear her entire schedule just in case they need her. I’m living for it! Please bring Kate back, Netflix!

In a recent interview on The Louis Theroux podcast, she discussed how he really showed dedication to the show. She believes this resonated with viewers because the show centers around family and the idea of coming home, something many people connect with.

That example was really helpful, and now it feels good to return – it’s like coming home to a family.

Joshua was married to actress and model Jodie Turner-Smith from 2019 until late 2023.

They first met in October 2018 at a birthday party for Usher and quickly started dating after that.

The couple fell in love quickly and privately, and it was surprisingly revealed in late December 2019 that they had already gotten married.

I nearly lost it when I saw pictures of Janelle Monáe with a little baby bump back in January 2020! Everyone was buzzing, and then the incredible news came – she and Niki had a daughter, Juno, on April 21st, 2020! I’ve been obsessed with them ever since, and little Juno must be the cutest baby ever!

I always thought they had a perfect marriage, especially early on. They were constantly singing each other’s praises whenever they did interviews – it was really lovely to see!

So it was a shock to fans when Turner-Smith filed for divorce in October of 2023.
