Kate Beckinsale and Michael Sheen’s daughter Lily, 27, reveals she has been sober for two years

Kate Beckinsale is known for her healthy lifestyle in Los Angeles, and now her daughter, Lily Mo Sheen, appears to be adopting similar habits.

For the 27-year-old has revealed she is two years sober in an Instagram post.

Lily, the daughter of actor Michael Sheen, recently announced she’s been sober for two years. She shared a photo of herself with cupcakes, but didn’t share many details about her journey.

A friend of the actress replied under the picture: ‘So proud of you, Lily’.

Though she became famous in Hollywood during the 1990s, Kate, now 52, wasn’t known for a lively social life. She’s shared that she can’t tolerate alcohol, which explains why she wasn’t one for partying.

The British actress shared with Shape magazine in 2016 that alcohol doesn’t agree with her, so she actively avoids drinking it.

She explained to the publication that she doesn’t drink alcohol because she’s very sensitive to its effects. She’s never even finished a full glass of any alcoholic beverage.

The actress shared that she likes to exercise early in the day. She explained that she usually wakes up, has breakfast, and then immediately works out, preferring to get her exercise done first thing in the morning.

I’m not a morning person, to be honest. If I could change things, I’d prefer everyone slept until noon! But since that’s not realistic, I usually feel pretty groggy when I first wake up.

Beckinsale has also spoken about the obvious resemblances she and her daughter share.

She jokingly sends her sister texts like ‘get your own face!’ because she feels her sister is an improved version of herself, possessing qualities she lacks, as she shared in 2023.

She has strikingly large, beautiful eyes, almost like a Disney character. While Michael may have had some influence, she definitely has her own unique look.

Lily has two half-siblings on her dad’s side from his marriage to Swedish actress Anna Lundberg.

Kate Beckinsale revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that being close to her then-boyfriend, Lily, helped them navigate a difficult period in their relationship.

The actress was deeply saddened by the loss of her mother, Judy Loe, who passed away from cancer in July 2025. This followed the death of Judy’s husband – and the actress’s stepfather, Roy – who died in January 2024, just over a year and a half earlier.

The actress shared that she’s been through a very difficult time, having lost both of her parents recently. She credited her daughter Lily’s boyfriend with being the one positive thing during those years, saying he was a true source of light.

Kate Beckinsale shared a funny story about her daughter’s boyfriend, without mentioning his name. She explained that a particularly cheerful moment was when he did something unexpectedly positive – she jokingly described it as ‘laying two eggs’ in a week.

Beckinsale had the audience roaring with laughter when he told a story about unexpectedly laying an egg. He playfully insisted it was a real egg – complete with a shell and yolk – and emerged… well, the way an egg would from a hen.

The actress explained that he was truly frightened the first time it occurred, and then a week later, Lily texted her to say he had done it again.

She showed Kimmel a picture of one of the eggs, and he was stunned, joking that her daughter’s boyfriend must be the Easter Bunny – it was the only explanation he could think of!

Beckinsale confessed she became deeply absorbed in trying to solve the egg puzzle, explaining she desperately needed a distraction from a very difficult time in her life.
