Bianca Censori's gangster uncle makes last ditch bid to avoid court trial - after he dodged being jailed for life over police raid

As I delve into the intricate web of the Censori family, it seems that their lives have been as tumultuous as a stormy sea. The uncle, who once tasted infamy for all the wrong reasons, narrowly escaped the gallows due to a fortunate turn of events. It’s a stark reminder that fame, whether good or bad, can come knocking at your door unexpectedly.

Kanye West’s wife Bianca Censori’s tough-guy relative is considering negotiations with attorneys representing Victoria Police as a means to bypass a pricey court trial involving a jury.

Eris Censori, formerly convicted of murdering a waiter in Western Australia and nicknamed “the Al Capone of Melbourne,” later saw his criminal lifestyle disintegrate.

In May, Daily Mail Australia disclosed that a well-known felon could potentially spend the rest of his life imprisoned, following an arrest during a police search at a residence shared with a suspected child molester.

Despite being found innocent, Censori was summoned before the Adult Parole Board, potentially facing a return to prison to serve out his life sentence.

In a statement of claim filed against the State of Victoria with the Supreme Court of Victoria, Censori alleged the search that put him in front of the parole board was obtained ‘through misfeasance and in the absence of facts’.

It can now be revealed lawyers acting on behalf of Censori are interested in meeting with those acting for the State of Victoria, which is acting on behalf of Victoria Police.

The involved parties are planning to talk about a potential mediation meeting, which is set to be addressed during a hearing at the Supreme Court of Victoria scheduled for next August.

The cause of the lengthy delay for that preliminary directions hearing remains unclear.

Should mediation fail, the matter will progress to a full jury trial listed for September 15.

That trial will see the reclusive Censori finally forced to front court in person.

Throughout the majority of the latest court hearings, he’s largely been out of sight, a situation that’s drawn criticism due to accusations of delaying the legal process.

At a recent hearing, it was stated that the case could potentially be dismissed if further delays by Censori occurred, as the legal process had commenced back in August of the previous year.

Censori had been arrested by Victoria Police detectives in September 2020 on suspicion of fraud.

However, the finding of a mobile phone believed to be his roommate’s, which was said to have child pornography on it, could potentially mean he would spend the rest of his life in prison again.

Tony Campani (formerly known as Censori) argued that his arrest tarnished his reputation and led to public humiliation, embarrassment, and scorn.

The court heard Censori had originally represented himself in court, but quickly chose to find a legal team.

As a diligent follower, I found myself facing the court after failing to adhere to instructions given on July 17, which required me to revise my claim’s statement.

‘That hasn’t happened,’ Censori’s barrister Tim Sowden told the court then.

No reasons were offered for the cause of the delay, with Mr Sowden suggesting his client would comply with the orders.

This week, Censori’s niece has been making news globally due to allegations suggesting a potential separation from her well-known spouse.

It seemed like the couple’s bond was strained on Monday, as various sources claimed they had been physically separated for several months. A source close to the situation told DailyMail.com that Bianca hinted at growing distance between them, referring to their situation as ‘drifting’.

I’ve been absolutely thrilled to see it myself! The legendary rapper, aged 47, and the radiant Aussie, at 29, seem to have kept their connection alive. It was evident when they were spotted showing affection, a heartwarming reunion in Tokyo on Tuesday.

The architect’s inner group was perplexed by her assertion that the couple’s relationship was struggling.

A source exclusively shared with DailyMail.com that it was Kanye and Bianca themselves who made the news of their divorce public, as they had personally informed others about it.

According to TMZ, the musician has been informing his friends that he has broken up with Bianca and wishes to be single, as he spends time in Japan.

During her latest trip back home, it’s been disclosed by trusted sources to DailyMail that she was confiding in close friends about the same piece of news. However, it was mentioned that there’s a possibility they might reconnect again.

The source went on to say: ‘She shared the news with her friends in Australia, while he spoke about it to anyone who would pay attention.’

It’s been reported that insiders believe they might have orchestrated this action to garner public interest, since it was also mentioned that they understood their actions would generate excitement and make them more notable. This seems to be part of an effort to boost the visibility of his latest album release.

‘They both know that people are just over them and that her naked outfits are not enough to keep people interested. Everyone has seen her naked now there is nothing to wonder about.’

In the 1980s, Censori’s uncle found himself in the limelight for unfortunate circumstances as he was sentenced for committing murder.

The death sentence for the murder of waiter Michael Sideris was not carried out on him, as capital punishment had been abolished in Western Australia prior to his case in 1984.

He is the son of Bianca’s elder brother, Elia ‘Leo’ Censori, who served prison time following his conviction in 1982 for illegal possession of a banned import after an Australian Federal Police search uncovered heroin in his home kitchen.

Previously, it was reported by Daily Mail Australia that Leo previously served time due to convictions related to gun ownership (pistol and ammunition) and served two out of his five-year sentence for drug-related offenses.

Apart from them, their oldest sibling, Eddie Capone (also recognized as Eddy), carries a criminal record in Victoria, which includes charges for violent acts such as attacking officers, robbery, and making threats.

According to the records submitted to the court, Bianca’s uncle asserted that the police misleadingly used the sale of his Brunswick property as a pretext for obtaining a search warrant, with the primary intention of investigating a suspected fraud case involving the Bank of Queensland.

During the time when he was apprehended, Censori was residing, along with two other men, in Bulleen, which is located to the northeast of Melbourne.

In his bedroom overlooking the front yard, Censori observed as the gate swung open, revealing a group of six heavily-armed men who stepped in. This was detailed in the records.

straightaway, he had a feeling that the people with him were from the Victoria Police, which made him feel uneasy.

It was claimed that the money used to buy the Brunswick property he sold was obtained through fraudulent means.

In response to your inquiry, it appears there might have been an error on your part. Allow me to clarify that I, as the supplier, did not secure any funding through any financial institution. This is the information I provided to the investigators, as stated by Censori.

Led to his bedroom, Censori asserted that the officers first requested him to provide documents concerning the transaction’s details, only later asking for permission to search his phone and computer.

During the course of the investigation, (Censori) was presented with a mobile phone found in the bedroom of another resident and asked to provide information about the resident and the contents of the phone, according to the records.

According to Censori, the leading detective informed him that he was cognizant of his past murder conviction, which resulted in a long prison term, and that even 25 years post-release, he was still required to check in with the parole board.

He explained to the detective that any accusations or actual criminal charges against him could lead to a violation of his parole, which might cause him to be sent back to prison and eventually deported.

After wrapping up the investigation, Censori asserted that he was cuffed and led through a procession of his neighbors before being escorted to the police station for questioning.

After being fingerprinted and grilled by police, Censori was cut loose without charge.

In January 2021, Censori found himself facing intense questioning by the parole board regarding his connection to the alleged pedophile.

According to Censori, he informed the board that he had no personal connection with his roommate, who goes by the name Mohamed, and was unaware of the contents on his phone.

In bringing the matter to court, Censori claimed the lead detective ‘displayed contumelious [scornful] disregard for [his] right to privacy and freedom, inflicting harm with malice’.
