The animated film Swapped, directed by Nathan Greno, tells the story of Ollie, a small forest animal voiced by Michael B. Jordan, and Ivy, a beautiful bird (voiced by Juno Temple), who magically switch bodies. This forces them to understand why their two species have been enemies for so long. Released on Netflix on May 1st, Swapped quickly became popular, earning 15.5 million views in its first three days – the best opening weekend for a Netflix animated movie since Leo in 2023.
As a huge animation fan, I was thrilled to see the numbers for Swapped! According to Tudum, it just smashed the record for the most views in a week for any animated movie on Netflix. We’re talking 38.7 million views in just seven days – it totally dominated the top 10 list for English-language films on the streamer.
