As a huge fan of smart comedies, I was so excited to hear that Katie Dippold – the genius behind Parks and Recreation – created Widow’s Bay. It’s been a massive hit for Netflix, and they’ve already greenlit a second season! What’s even more interesting is how well it’s done with horror fans. This bodes really well for another upcoming series called Below, which comes from Jesse McKeown (who worked on The Umbrella Academy). It also features a fantastic cast and tells a similar story, but this time the setting is a secluded town in Newfoundland. I can’t wait to see what Netflix does with both of these shows!

I’m so excited! Disney+ is adding a new Hello Kitty musical series starting August 4th! It’s not just Hello Kitty either – My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and Pompompurin will be there too. It’s awesome to see Sanrio expanding into more entertainment, especially since they’ve been having a really big year in 2026!

For the first two seasons of The Rings of Power, the character known as The Stranger (Daniel Weyman) remains a mystery. We see him encounter the Harfoots, learn from Tom Bombadil, and travel through the eastern lands of Rhûn where he meets a powerful dark wizard. It’s in the season 2 finale that The Stranger finally understands and embraces his true identity: Gandalf.
