The Audacity Episode 4 Clip Finds Zach Galifianakis & Billy Magnussen In A Schrödinger’s Cat Situation

Even though Duncan Park (Billy Magnussen), the CEO of Hypergnosis, had a major victory in episode 3 of the AMC series The Audacity, a preview of episode 4 shows he’s still facing trouble.

In the third episode, Duncan managed to get a massive $300 million investment for Hypergnosis from tech giant Carl Bardolph (played by Zach Galifianakis) – he just wouldn’t give up! This completely threw a wrench into Joanne Felder’s (Sarah Goldberg) plans. However, things have shifted again in episode 4, titled The Audacity, as you can see in the exclusive clip from ScreenRant below.

Carl clearly isn’t happy to see Duncan, sarcastically questioning his algorithm and threatening to reveal Duncan’s data-mining methods to Orlando Lee, a former student of Carl’s. Duncan tries to persuade Carl to trust the algorithm’s potential and use Orlando as a way to prove it, rather than protect him. Their argument escalates until Carl challenges the CEO to a physical fight with his competitor.

The Audacity Season 1 Is Already On A Roll

Though season 1 of The Audacity only has 8 episodes, the show is far from finished. AMC has already confirmed a second season, signaling strong confidence in this sharp, satirical series about the tech world. The show’s morally gray characters and storylines will remind viewers of Silicon Valley and Succession – especially given Jonathan Glatzer’s role as showrunner. With exceptional performances from Elias Magnussen and the rest of the cast, The Audacity is quickly becoming one of the best new shows of 2026.

Dan Sackheim directed Episode 4, and Glatzer and Marie Hanhnhon Nguyen wrote it. The episode features performances by Zach Magnussen, Justin Galifianakis, and Max Goldberg, as well as Lucy Punch as Lili Park-Hoffsteader, Simon Helberg as Martin Phister, Rob Corddry as Tom Ruffage, Meaghan Rath as Anushka Bhattachera-Phister, Paul Adelstein as Dr. Gary Felder, Everett Blunck as Orson Stern, Thailey Roberge as Tess Phister, and Ava Marie Telek as Jamison Park-Hoffsteader. Randall Park makes a special guest appearance as Gabe.
