Alcedo Games has released Old Market Simulator, a cooperative adventure game where players manage a bustling bazaar, now available on iOS. It’s a mobile version of their popular PC game, and while it’s currently only on Apple devices, they haven’t announced plans for an Android version yet.

You can now farm, craft, and expand your business with hired help

Old Market Simulator is a cooperative game for 1 to 4 players where you start a market and build it up from nothing. You’ll grow crops, raise animals, fish, and make things to sell, gradually expanding your business. A nice feature is being able to hire employees to help with tasks, although you’ll have to pay them!

Honestly, one of the best things about this game is all the different places you can play in. You can chill and trade on a Tropical Island, build up your business in this cool East Town that feels really authentic, or even jump into Roman Town’s Adventure Mode where you’re trying to rebuild after an earthquake. There’s just so much to do, I don’t think I’ll be getting bored anytime soon!

Honestly, the game loop is super addictive. It’s really satisfying starting with just seeds and little plants, and then building up to a proper market where you’re selling everything. And it’s not just plants, either – I love buying animals and taking care of them for milk, eggs, and more. Then you can take all that stuff to the workshop and cook up or ferment all sorts of different recipes – it’s a lot of fun!

Honestly, what I’m most excited about in this game is getting out on the water and fishing – not just regular fish, but special ones and even finding hidden treasure! You do need to get a boat, paddle, and fishing rod first, which is fine. Everything I’ve seen looks really fun, and it seems like a lot of other people on Steam agree – plus, they’re planning cool seasonal events like one for Halloween, and the graphics are great too!
