Prime Video thriller with a ‘brilliant, battle-scarred’ detective announces new cast additions

Prime Video‘s new thriller series, Bishop, is adding more actors to its cast. The show, created by Little Marvin and Tony Saltzman, centers on a detective named Bishop Graves, who will be portrayed by Joel Kinnaman.

This detective, known for his intelligence and experience, faces his biggest challenge yet: tracking down a killer who is specifically targeting San Francisco’s wealthiest residents.

The killer’s confidence grows, and he starts to gain supporters among those who feel helpless. Bishop begins to suspect the murderer is actually Lincoln Graves (John Malkovich), a very influential figure – and his own father.

According to Deadline, Ulrich Thomsen, Erik Svedberg-Zelman, John Larroquette, and Rob Yang will be joining the cast alongside Karl Urban and Mickey Rourke.

I’m so excited to hear that Nicolai Thomsen, who I loved in Legends, is joining the cast as Oliver’s uncle! And it’s cool that Johan Svedberg-Zelman from Paradise is playing Asker’s nephew. We’re still waiting to find out who will play Oliver and Asker themselves, but the cast is already shaping up nicely!

Actor Richard Larroquette, known for his role in Night Court, will appear as a wealthy businessman and close friend of Lincoln Graves. Meanwhile, Succession’s Jihae Kim Yang will play a high-achieving property developer and investor.

Jennifer Jason Leigh joins the cast as Jillian Graves, the sister of Lincoln and aunt of Bishop. Jordana Brewster will play Kat Claiborne, an experienced inspector with the San Francisco Police Department.

Harry Treadaway will play the role of Wyat, and Xavier Samuel will star as Anthony ‘Ant’ Graves, Bishop’s brother.

Marvin is in charge of the show Bishop and also serves as an executive producer alongside Saltzman, Roy Lee, and Miri Yoon. While a premiere date hasn’t been revealed yet, if you enjoy detective dramas on Prime Video, Cracked is a great choice.

The new series stars David Sutcliffe as Aidan Black, a former SWAT officer and detective, who is surprised to discover his new partner isn’t a police officer.

He’ll be working alongside forensic psychiatrist Dr. Daniella Ridley in a new unit dedicated to solving the city’s most disturbing crimes. They hope their different approaches will help them solve even the most difficult cases.

Bishop will stream on Prime Video.
