Brooke Shields and her daughter, Rowan Henchy, looked stunning as they arrived at a charity event benefiting animals.

I was so thrilled to see Glenn Close at the Animal Haven benefit in New York City last night! And it was even more special because her daughter, Rowan, was with her. They both looked wonderful supporting such a great cause.

Brooke wore a sparkly black and white striped slip dress with high heels and a satin clutch featuring a silver buckle.

Rowan, recognized with an award at the charity gala, wore a navy blue tulle gown with one shoulder exposed. The dress had delicate lace detailing and a gathered, fitted top.

A mother and daughter attended the animal charity event with their dog, Cluny. Brooke even brought a pillow featuring Cluny’s face!

Rowan is now part of the Bravo series and started filming in October. Production on the second season is anticipated to last until springtime.

The show centers around the lives of young adults – many of whom come from famous families – as they try to find their way in New York City and build their careers.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Next Gen NYC is AMAZING! It’s got Riley Burruss, Kandi Burruss’ daughter – I’ve been following her since she was little! – and Gia Giudice, Teresa Giudice’s daughter, is on it too! And Brooks Marks, Meredith Marks’ son? Total heartthrob! Plus, Ariana Bierman, Kim Zolciak’s daughter, and even Damon Dash’s daughter, Ava Dash, are all part of the cast! Seriously, it’s a dream team of reality TV kids!

Brooke consistently supports Rowan’s career goals and seems particularly enthusiastic about her daughter’s involvement with Next Gen NYC.

Her daughter is pursuing a career in broadcast journalism and news. The mother shared with E! News last June that she’s gained experience at various media outlets, including covering red carpet events.

Brooke, who shares 20-year-old daughter Grier with her husband Chris Henchy, 62, says people constantly tell her how wonderful her daughter is.

Brooke continued, explaining that her daughter is incredibly likable. She said people constantly tell her how much they adore her daughter, even strangers will approach her to say so – especially when Brooke is on television doing interviews.

Brooke shared the simple advice she offers Rowan: “Keep trying, and never give up.” She’s confident Rowan will be successful.

Rowan recently mentioned her mother had a short relationship with John F. Kennedy Jr. in a TikTok video.

A video showed her lip-syncing to “Boom Clap” performed live by Taylor Swift and Charli XCX during Taylor’s 1989 tour, with the caption ‘I wonder if JFK Jr was a good kisser’ displayed over it.

During a 2023 interview on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, Brooke recalled that John F. Kennedy Jr., often called the ‘prince of Camelot,’ was ‘one of the best kissers’ she had ever known.

She revealed she had loved him as a child.

I was completely head over heels for him. My mom, Teri Shields, used to tell me since I was a little girl – around three years old – that he was the one I’d eventually marry.

Brooke then recalled the time she and JFK Jr met during a skiing trip to Aspen, Colorado.

We all went out together as a family. Someone kept pointing out how much I resembled his mother, which was surprisingly flattering, though a little strange. It left me feeling a bit confused.

Brooke admitted she was uncertain about going out with a man she had fancied for years.

She remembered they eventually went on a proper date, but she didn’t want to be intimate with him because she was starting to fall for him.

I remember after they had drinks with his family at a bar, they hopped into a taxi back to the place John was staying – it was more like a cozy cabin than a fancy hotel, really. That’s where they finally shared a kiss. It was such a sweet moment!

She described the kiss as incredible – truly the best she’d ever experienced. She was completely captivated by him – not just by his beautiful lips and face, but by his entire personality. He was grounded, funny, and refreshingly unconventional, she explained.
