April saw the launch of several successful TV shows, including Richard Gadd’s Half Man, which is currently airing weekly and has been hailed as the best new show of 2026 to date.
May brings back several popular dramas, as well as some exciting new ones! Keep an eye out for Disney’s hit show Rivals, and the second season of the BBC’s mystery series starring Emma Myers.
Alright gamers, time to build those watch lists! I’m about to highlight the shows you absolutely won’t want to skip in the next few weeks.

Rivals
Rivals season 2 will premiere on Disney+ in the UK on 15 May with its first three episodes.
The new season of Rivals is almost here! Fan favorites David Tennant, Danny Dyer, Aidan Turner, Nafessa Williams, and Emily Atack are all back to continue the story – and finally resolve that surprising cliffhanger from the last season.
Inspired by the popular novels of Jilly Cooper, Rivals tells the story of a fierce competition between two companies, Corinium and Venturer, during the 1980s. The show also features plenty of personal drama surrounding the lives of those involved.
What to Read Next
The new season of the show promises increased tension, clever dialogue, and passionate storylines. Expect Tony Baddingham to be particularly cutthroat as he intensifies the existing conflicts. The season will explore how striving for success puts a strain on marriages, how secret relationships could destroy families, and how old secrets will finally come to light with dramatic results.

The Four Seasons, season 2
The Four Seasons will return to Netflix with season 2 on May 28.
Everyone was surprised by this popular comedy-drama when it came out on Netflix last year. It wasn’t just funny – it was surprisingly moving and offered much more depth than expected, despite its famous cast.
Starring Tina Fey, Colman Domingo, and Steve Carell, The Four Seasons tells the story of a group of friends whose annual vacation is disrupted when one of them goes through a divorce, putting a strain on their friendships and how they get along.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, season 2
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will launch season 2 on BBC iPlayer on 27 May.
The popular mystery series, based on Holly Jackson’s novel, is returning for a second season. It centers around Pip Fitz-Amobi, a 17-year-old played by Emma Myers, who is determined to crack an old, unsolved case. Viewers have been eagerly anticipating the new episodes, and they’re arriving soon!
The next season of the show will feature most of the beloved characters as they navigate the consequences of what happened in season one. Joining them will be new cast members Misia Butler (known for Kaos), Jack Rowan (from Noughts + Crosses), and Freddie Thorp (Safe).

Ponies
Ponies will premiere on Sky and stream on NOW from 22 May.
The highly-rated new spy thriller, featuring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson, debuted on Peacock earlier this year and will soon be available for viewers in the UK.
This story takes place in the 1970s and centers on two secretaries working at the American Embassy in Moscow. Their lives are dramatically changed when their husbands die, leading them to become secret agents for the CIA.

Off Campus
Off Campus will be available on Prime Video from 13 May.
If you were totally hooked on The Summer I Turned Pretty, I think you’ll love Prime Video’s Off Campus. It’s right up that alley!
Inspired by Elle Kennedy’s popular novels, Off Campus is a story about a high-achieving college hockey team and the relationships—the joys and struggles—they experience as they navigate young adulthood.

Good Omens
Good Omens finale will arrive on Prime Video on 13 May.
Michael Sheen and David Tennant will reprise their roles as Aziraphale and Crowley for a final episode of Good Omens. This last adventure is being called their biggest and most meaningful one yet.
Following the painful split between Aziraphale and Crowley at the end of season two, the extended finale of Good Omens suggests they’ll need to address their feelings, overcome past hurts, and rebuild their connection—all while the universe is at risk.
The latest issue of Living Legends is now available! This special 100-page, full-color magazine celebrates the incredible life and work of Sir David Attenborough. You can find it at newsstands or order it online.
