Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci each received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with their spouses looking on and cheering.
Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, who starred together in The Devil Wears Prada and are sisters-in-law, both received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Sixty-five-year-old Stanley looked sharp and happy as he posed for photos, celebrating with his wife, 45-year-old Felicity Blunt.
Emily, 43, looked stunning in a delicate white dress as her husband, John Krasinski, beamed with pride when her star was unveiled.
Photos from the event showed Stanley and Emily with their significant others after their stars were revealed.
In one photo, the two were holding each other and beaming as they relaxed next to the plaque.
Meryl Streep was also there, beaming with pride as the honorees received their stars – the 2,841st and 2,842nd – on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Other A-listers spotted include Dwayne Johnson, Robert Downey Jr and Matt Damon.
Stanley’s career took off in 1996 with the film Big Night. He not only co-wrote and co-directed it, but also played the role of Secondo Pilaggi.
Meanwhile, Emily rose to prominence in the original 2006 Devil Wears Prada movie.
During the awards ceremony, Meryl shared her admiration for her fellow actors, particularly Emily. She playfully said she felt like a mother to Emily, expressing immense pride and agreeing with all the kind things others had said about her.
I’m so excited to collaborate with you again! It’s amazing you’re achieving this so young – if my own career is anything to go by, we’ll be working together for decades to come. Honestly, I admire you as much as everyone else does.
Oh, Stanley! Honestly, ‘national treasure’ doesn’t even begin to cover it anymore. I’ve traveled all over the world recently, and the love for him is just… everywhere! He’s absolutely drowning in adoration, it’s incredible! He’s just soaking it all up, and it’s the most amazing thing to witness.
It’s simply impossible not to adore Stanley Tucci. He’s sophisticated, witty, humorous, and delightfully sharp-tongued, but also incredibly kind, inquisitive, and always impeccably stylish.
Stanley carries himself with a natural grace and confidence in his masculinity. While all sexualities are equal, it’s often more challenging for straight men to achieve that same effortless, unpretentious style.
Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, and Stanley Tucci are back as their characters in the new movie by director David Frankel, who previously made the popular 2006 comedy about the world of fashion.
Meryl recently stated that her colleague Anne encouraged the filmmakers to cast a diverse range of body types for the background models, rather than only using very thin women.
Anne, 43, addressed the recent controversy on Tuesday, stating it had been exaggerated. She strongly denied claims circulating on social media that her remarks led to any cast members losing their jobs, calling those claims inaccurate.
She explained to Good Morning America that a small, spontaneous moment on set had unexpectedly turned into a major news story.
I want to clarify that recent claims about people being fired due to our size inclusivity efforts are untrue. That simply wasn’t the reason for any dismissals.
The movie will be available in theaters across the US and UK starting May 1st. Hathaway also mentioned something unexpected happened while filming a particular scene, but she isn’t allowed to talk about it.
She explained that no one lost their job, and actually, more jobs were created. She couldn’t reveal details about the project, but mentioned that Lady Gaga wrote a beautiful and amazing song for it.
‘Isn’t it better when you see so many different types of bodies up there with that?’
Meryl Streep mentioned being surprised by how thin the models on set appeared, describing them as beautiful and young, but also worryingly underweight, in an interview about Anne Hathaway’s Harper’s Bazaar cover story.
Emily recently faced criticism for suggesting that people dissatisfied with their jobs should simply quit. Many considered this advice unrealistic and disconnected from the challenges people face.
The actress, known for her role as a busy assistant at a fashion magazine, was asked what advice she had for people who dislike their jobs.
Okay, so Emily, who’s incredibly successful with a net worth around $80 million, recently shared some advice that didn’t quite land with her followers. A lot of people are pointing out that it’s easy to give advice when you’re coming from a place of significant financial security – and they’re right! It’s a good reminder that what works for one person, especially someone with a lot of privilege, doesn’t necessarily translate to everyone else’s reality.
Emily had a privileged upbringing, growing up in a comfortable family and attending the well-regarded Hurtwood House school in Surrey, which is famous for its drama and performing arts programs.
Boarding at the renowned school for actors and creatives costs £22,400 per term, while day students pay £14,900 per term.
In an interview with Betches, Emily’s character and a specific moment were discussed. The scene shows her repeatedly saying ‘I love my job’ to herself while dealing with the difficult demands of her boss, Miranda Priestly.
Since the movie came out, it’s become a popular meme that people use to joke about the struggles of working in an office.
When asked for advice for women currently unhappy at work, Emily jokingly mumbled, “Quit… but don’t.”
She advised finding something you’re truly passionate about. Even if it doesn’t pay, she said, doing what you love will bring you happiness.
Emily’s advice seemed to be about leaving a bad job to pursue your passions, but a lot of people didn’t react well to it.
