Kate Cassidy, Liam Payne’s girlfriend, posted a touching video on Thursday showing their last day together, which she described as ‘beautiful,’ before his passing.
The 27-year-old American influencer was in a two-year relationship with the One Direction singer who tragically died in October 2024. He fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and tests revealed he had alcohol and cocaine in his system at the time of his death.
Kate has been candid with her followers about dealing with her grief, frequently using social media to share her emotions.
She’s been remembering their final day together – a horseback riding trip they took in Argentina – before he died.
She shared a heartfelt message from the ride, writing: ‘Treasure every moment life offers, because I never imagined that would be the last time I’d see my boyfriend.’
She then wrote in the caption of the post: ‘a beautiful last day spent.’
Kate has shared that she feels ready to begin dating again, more than a year and a half after the sad loss of her partner.
Sharing a video to Instagram last Friday she confessed: ‘I am ready to start dating again.
It’s been a year and a half since Liam died, and I’m starting to think about the possibility of loving someone else. It’s a new part of dealing with my grief, and I’m not sure what it will be like.
I definitely cherished being in love, and I hope to have a family and children someday. I know Liam would want that for me, and I would want the same for him – to find happiness and love again – if our positions were switched.
You know, when it comes to love, some feelings just stick with you. I’ve learned that even as life moves forward and new people come along, there’s a space in your heart for those you’ve truly loved – and for me, that’s always going to include Liam. That feeling will never fade, no matter what the future holds.
I’ll always remember Liam, especially on my wedding day, and he’ll be in my thoughts for the rest of my life.
Earlier this month, she hinted on TikTok that she was open to dating again.
The influencer reached out to the producers of The Bachelorette on social media, hoping to become a contestant.
I was so excited when I saw Kate’s latest post! She was dancing and looking amazing in sunglasses, and the caption just killed me – she basically threw her hat in the ring for the next Bachelorette! It was a playful ‘Heard they’re looking… hi!’ – like, ‘Pick me, pick me!’ Honestly, she’d be perfect.
She captioned the post: ‘hi abc’.
People commented that they’d watch the popular US show if Kate was on it, saying she’d be a great fit.

Kate recently explained on TikTok that anyone she dates in the future will need to understand she’ll always have love for Liam. She wanted to be clear about that.
‘I will always talk about Liam I will always laugh about Liam, I will always cry about Liam.’
Kate went on to explain that she and Liam Payne were in a relationship. He wasn’t just a celebrity to her; he was someone she deeply cared for.
It’s incredibly painful to be constantly criticized for talking about my late boyfriend, the person I loved deeply and still miss. I could never be with someone who wasn’t okay with me sharing memories of Liam.
Liam meant a lot to me. He was my best friend, and I truly believed we had a future together. While it’s hard, I know I’ll eventually move forward. I still want to get married and have children someday.
