Kate Ritchie surprised her followers by posting a beautiful, previously unseen photoshoot she did a few years back.
Kate Ritchie, 47, shared a photo from her 2017 Façon Magazine photoshoot, which featured her posing by a pool in high fashion.
The photo revealed a surprisingly different side of Kate than what people are used to seeing in public.
Okay, let me tell you, Kate absolutely nailed that poolside look! She was glowing, lounging on a daybed in the sunshine. She wore this stunning red one-piece – it was like a bikini but with the sophistication of long sleeves. Honestly, she looked every bit the glamorous movie star, totally chic and relaxed.
She had bouncy brunette curls and wore striking makeup, including smoky eyeshadow and bright red lipstick.
Kate posted the image in celebration of the magazine’s 10-year anniversary.
Earlier this year, Nova announced that the Fitzy & Wippa show, featuring Kate Ritchie, would no longer air during breakfast hours.
The radio station announced that the current breakfast show will be replaced with a new one called ‘Ricki-Lee & Tim,’ featuring Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell. They previously hosted the drive show on Nova alongside Joel Creasey.
Ryan Fitzgerald, Michael Wipfli, and Kate Ritchie will move to host the national Drive show.
The trio announced the news on-air.
Wippa announced that after 15 years hosting the breakfast radio show, ‘Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie,’ the team has earned a promotion to the national drive time slot.
‘4-6pm around Australia on the country’s best Radio Network, Nova. There it is, guys!’
Kate said she was ‘thrilled’ about making the move.
I’m so happy with my time on Sydney Breakfast with the team, and I’m excited that our show will now be available across Australia,” she said.
At the beginning of last year, Fitzy and Wippa hosted their show without Kate, as she was taking time to focus on personal matters.
After prioritizing her well-being with a break, she rejoined the show in August 2025.
The host of Nova 96.9’s Sydney breakfast show hasn’t been on air since January, following a highly publicized emotional breakdown in a Sydney park.
Following a very public and upsetting incident where she was seen crying after collecting her daughter, Mae, from school, Kate was continuing to receive care at a rehabilitation center.
She followed up with a post on Instagram, explaining the troubling pictures and announcing her temporary leave from the radio.
She started by saying that she sometimes deals with personal mental health challenges, and they’ve been more difficult to cope with than she expected.
I’m taking some time away from the show and everyone I work with to prioritize my health. I’m grateful for Nova’s support during this time.
