Vince Staples Readies Return

Two weeks ago, Vince Staples announced a new, private Discord server for his fans, hoping to give them a better experience. His initial announcement was short and mysterious, promising “hijinks and shenanigans” and hinting at a quick return with more news.

He didn’t disappoint! The rapper released his first new studio track since May 2024’s Dark Times over the weekend, sharing it on Instagram. The song, called “Blackberry Marmalade,” is available now on streaming services and features a return to his classic guitar-driven sound. It’s accompanied by a visually compelling music video co-directed by Bradley J. Calder.

Viewers noticed a red baseball cap with the word “CRYBABY” on it in the video. It was briefly visible on the dashboard of Staples’ car at the beginning, and had “June 5th” written on the side.
