Sky has released a first trailer for the new series The Five Star Weekend, starring Jennifer Garner. Based on the popular novel of the same name – which one GoodReads reviewer called “truly perfection” – the TV adaptation by author Elin Hilderbrand will premiere in July on Sky and NOW in the UK and Ireland.
So, I’ve been hearing about this new show, and the network is calling it super polished and bright. It’s all about this chef, Hollis Shaw – she’s a big deal, famous for her amazing food, great style, and just being a really warm person. But apparently, something really awful happens to her, which is what the show is centered around.
As the mystery deepens, Hollis’s seemingly perfect life begins to fall apart, revealing problems in her marriage, a difficult relationship with her daughter, and her increasing need for approval from her followers.

Hollis, hoping to heal after a loss and rediscover who she is, decides to invite four friends – representing different chapters of her life: childhood, her twenties, her thirties, and one unexpected guest – for a weekend getaway at her home on Nantucket.
Amidst a beautiful, oceanfront setting, the show’s cast will face unexpected challenges and personal growth as hidden truths come to light and they’re forced to confront their limits.

The upcoming film features D’Arcy Carden (known for The Good Place), Gemma Chan (Humans), Regina Hall (Girl’s Trip), and Chloë Sevigny as a group of friends joining Hollis on a weekend getaway to figure out her life. Harlow Jane will play Hollis’s daughter, and Timothy Olyphant is also in the cast.
The cast of Five Star Weekend also includes Judy Greer, who previously worked with Jennifer Garner in 13 Going on 30, along with Rob Huebel, David Denman, Tory Devon Smith, Josh Hamilton, Roberta Colindrez, West Duchovny, and Morrison Keddie.

Lucy Criddle, Director of Acquisitions & Strategic Projects at Sky, announced that the new drama series, based on the popular novel, will be available on Sky and NOW this summer. She described it as a high-quality, character-driven show with a strong cast, led by Jennifer Garner, and a great fit for their programming.
Garner will be an executive producer on the project, joining Bekah Brunstetter, Ali Krug, Beth Schacter, Elin Hilderbrand, Sue Naegle, Merri Howard, and Minkie Spiro in that role.
The Five Star Weekend will debut in July on Sky and NOW in the UK and Ireland.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a beautifully illustrated 100-page tribute to Sir David Attenborough, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online.
