Nike Adds a “Black” Iteration To Its Leather Astrograbber Line

Okay, so I just found out about the Nike Astrogabber Leather in black, and they look amazing! The style code is IO9910-001, and they’re going to retail for around $115 USD (or ¥18,480 JPY). They dropped in Japan on May 8th, and if you’re trying to snag a pair, you’ll need to check SNKRS Japan. Definitely trying to get my hands on these!

Nike is giving its Astrograbber “Black” shoe a more luxurious makeover with a leather design. Originally created for American football, this classic shoe is now being updated with a sleek, high-end look that emphasizes subtle sophistication.

This updated design focuses on essential details, with a carefully crafted upper. It’s made entirely of high-quality, full-grain leather, replacing typical athletic materials with a more sophisticated and long-lasting feel. This choice enhances the shoe’s heritage, creating a streamlined, single-color look that combines its tough roots with a modern, elegant style.

The shoe is entirely black, creating a sleek, consistent look. This simple color scheme highlights the leather’s texture and allows the shoe to be worn in a variety of situations – from everyday casual wear to more formal occasions – while still staying true to its athletic roots.

Just like the “Barkroot Brown” version, these shoes will be released in Japan on May 8th. However, there’s no news yet about when or if they’ll be available in the United States.
