Hotori is a powerful, playable character in Neverness to Everness, classified as S-rank Cosmos Solid. She’s designed to be the team’s primary damage dealer, and uniquely, she doesn’t have any cooldowns on her Skills or Ultimate. This guide will cover everything you need to know about building Hotori, including her abilities, the best Arcs and Console to equip, and effective team compositions.
Neverness to Everness Hotori Build Guide: Kit explained
Hotori is a powerful on-field damage dealer who uses a unique energy system called Non-Closed Timepiece. Unlike many characters, her abilities don’t have cooldowns. You can use her Skill whenever you have 60 Non-Closed Timepiece energy, and her Ultimate requires 120. Here’s a look at how her Basic attack, Skills, Ultimate, and Passive abilities work.
Basic Attack
She attacks five times in a row, dealing Cosmos damage. If you hold the skill button, she’ll deal area-of-effect Cosmos damage four times.
Basic Attack: Non-Closed Timepiece
So, when I bring Hotori into battle, this weird timer thing, called a Non-Closed Timepiece, pops up. It spins around and basically charges up with energy – it’s called Non-Closed Timepiece energy, naturally – and it can hold up to 120 of it. It’s kinda like a resource bar, but circular and a bit mysterious!
Skill
Hotori can use 60 Non-Closed Timepiece energy to activate her Present Replay Skill. If she has more than 60 energy, this skill deals area-of-effect (AoE) Cosmos damage seven times and records any Support or Redirect Skills used by her allies over the next 5 seconds, storing up to 3 instances. This also replenishes her Non-Closed Timepiece energy bar. The recorded data is cleared when a battle starts or ends.
Ultimate
Okay, so Hatori does a ton of area-of-effect damage – like, ten times! Then, she pulls out her katana and switches up how she attacks. This is where it gets really cool: she slows down time around her for ten seconds, and we’re locked on her during that whole thing. The best part? She’s completely immune to any debuffs while time is slowed! Plus, she replays all the attacks she’s recorded with her special ability, ‘Skill Present Replay,’ just once, and then clears those recordings. It’s a really powerful, flashy move!
While time is stopped, Hotori builds up her combo, boosting her damage with each hit. Reaching 10 combo stacks triggers a powerful Finisher attack dealing 755% damage at level 13. She also quickly recovers 6 Non-Closed Timepiece energy per second, allowing her to use her Ultimate ability roughly every 10 seconds, as the ability itself lasts for 10 seconds.
Passive Skills
- Ghost Orchid Crest: Prevents Lebenstamm attacks from pausing during time stop. Because of this passive skill, we can smoothly do our Esper cycle rotation during the time stop.
- All Treasure Under Heaven: Increases World’s Tide’s Finisher DMG Ratio by 100%. Previously, her Finisher Damage Ratio was 755%, but now it will deal 855% damage at Lv13.
Neverness to Everness Hotori Build Guide: Best Arcs
| Arcs | Effects |
|---|---|
| Hethereau’s Keeper (S) | Increases ATK by 15%. Increases damage dealt to Bosses by 15%. Unlocks Arc: Officer Whisker. Arc: Officer Whisker — Summons Officer Whisker to assist in combat. Officer Whisker continuously attacks enemies, dealing 100% of the wearer’s ATK as damage per hit. Lasts 30s. Cooldown: 60s.
At this moment, this arc looks like one of her best arcs, which increases her own damage and also provides support in battle with extra damage. |
| Fluff of Fearlessness (S) | Increases ATK by 25% for 10s after the wearer casts an Ultimate. The effect does not stack.
Another great alternative arc for her. She deals most of her damage with her ultimate, and her ultimate lasts for 10 seconds, and this arc gives her a massive 25% attack buff. |
Neverness to Everness Hotori Build Guide: Best Console
| Console | Effects |
|---|---|
| Lost Radiance | Epic (2): Cosmos DMG +10%. Legendary (4): Ignores 25% of enemies’ DEF for 20s after the wearer casts Ultimate. The effect does not stack. It’s her best console set, which gives Cosmos DMG buff and also buffs her Ultimate. |
Stat Priority: Chaos DMG% > CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG > ATK
Best Team Comps for Hotori
Hotori/Zero/Mint/Jiuyuan
Okay, so in our team setup, I’m running Hotori as our main damage dealer – she’ll be hitting hard with her Skill and Ultimate. Zero’s job is to quickly get our Esper Cycle going and keep us topped up with some healing too. Then, Mint and Juyuan are both focused on boosting and triggering Blossom’s reactions, basically making her even more powerful!
Hotori/ Hathor/Fadia/Haniel
Fadia will protect the team and provide defense, while Haniel will boost everyone’s attack power after activating Nova. Hathor will set off both Remora and Nova, weakening enemies, and Nova itself will increase overall damage. Hotori is the team’s primary damage dealer.
Is Hotori Worth Pulling in Neverness to Everness
Currently, Hotori is the most powerful damage dealer (DPS) in NTE. Her unique ability, the Non-Closed Timepiece, lets her use her skills and ultimate attack continuously without worrying about cooldown times. If you’re looking for a strong DPS character who doesn’t rely on energy to use their ultimate, Hotori is an excellent option.
