“Genius” sitcom branded “simply the best” is leaving Netflix very soon

If you’re planning to watch or rewatch Schitt’s Creek, you’ll need to do so soon! The popular comedy is leaving Netflix in the near future.

The popular Canadian show, created by Eugene and Dan Levy, is currently available to watch in full. However, all six seasons—a total of 80 episodes—will be taken off the streaming service on May 15th.

Schitt’s Creek, which first aired in 2015, tells the story of the wealthy Rose family who suddenly lose all their money due to a scam. They’re forced to relocate to Schitt’s Creek, a small town in Canada.

Featuring its creators and stars like Annie Murphy and the late Catherine O’Hara, Schitt’s Creek received widespread critical acclaim throughout its five seasons. Currently, 93% of critics on Rotten Tomatoes have given the show a positive review across all six seasons.

The first season received a fairly average rating of 69%. However, all the seasons that followed – excluding the third, which hasn’t been rated – were universally approved with a perfect 100% score.

What to Read Next

Viewers loved the sitcom, and it currently has a fantastic rating of 8.5 out of 10 on IMDb. That’s a really impressive score, especially considering over 173,000 people have rated it.

I honestly think Schitt’s Creek is one of the greatest comedies ever! It’s so funny, but it’s also really heartwarming and about what truly matters – love and being human. You can’t help but fall in love with the characters; they honestly feel like family. One review I read called it ‘simply the best,’ and I totally agree!

“This is so well written, and the first time I’ve seen Dan Levy in anything, and he is just brilliant. If you’re thinking of switching off, don’t, keep going,” wrote another fan, while a third called it “comedic genius”.

If you enjoyed Dan Levy’s previous work and are looking for his new series on Netflix, check out Big Mistakes. He created it with Rachel Sennott, and also stars in it! The comedy centers around two siblings who unexpectedly find themselves involved in criminal activity.

Schitt’s Creek is streaming on Netflix until 15 May.

The latest issue of Living Legends is now available! This special 100-page, full-color magazine celebrates the incredible Sir David Attenborough. You can find it at newsstands or order it online.
