General Hospital star Kirsten Storms’ ex-husband gets restraining order against her amid series of alarming incidents

Brandon Barash, who is divorced from General Hospital star Kirsten Storms, has been granted a restraining order against her due to worries about her well-being.

It was from 2013 to 2016, but they have a beautiful daughter together, Harper Rose, who’s twelve now. I just adore their whole family, even if they’re not together anymore!

After their breakup, both parents relocated to Tennessee. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Barash claims Storms has a pattern of unstable housing, which puts their daughter at risk.

In court, Barash expressed worry about Storms’ ability to properly care for their child. A judge granted a restraining order after Barash stated Storms was experiencing a mental health crisis.

In a document filed with the court in December 2025, he stated that Storms contacted him in May 2025, claiming she was having delusions and hallucinations.

According to Barash, the actress, who was born in Orlando, Florida, is also facing an eviction lawsuit filed by her landlord due to unpaid rent.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for both sides for more information about this story, but they haven’t received a response yet.

According to a court document, Barash claims Storms didn’t have a permanent home between September 2024 and June 2025.

According to court documents filed by her ex-husband, Storms, who was on Days of Our Lives between 1999 and 2004, frequently stayed overnight at friends’ houses or in hotels.

Barash explained that when she and her daughter stayed in hotels, she frequently requested different rooms because she was afraid someone was tracking them back to their location.

According to a court document, actor Barash – who has appeared in shows like General Hospital and Days of Our Lives – claims that Storms is about to have their car taken away due to unpaid debts.

Storms has also yet to pay Barash back a personal $5,000 loan, the actor said in his court filing.

She has been steadily-employed as an actress for decades, Barash told the court. 

Storms has appeared on more than 1,700 episodes of General Hospital since 2005, according to iMDb. 

According to a court document, the actress told Dr. Barash she was having delusions and hallucinations during a mental health crisis on May 19, 2025.

Barash testified in court that Storms told him she didn’t feel capable of parenting the child given what she was going through.

Storms was subsequently put on a psychiatric hold at a mental health facility, a process which Barash said he and his current spouse assisted with.

According to court documents, after being released, Storms didn’t mention anything about what caused her hospitalization, stated Barash.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen how stress can really impact someone’s perception of reality. Back in November 2025, during a court testimony, it came out that my client, Storms, believed someone was deliberately trying to upset her by moving her belongings – taking things from her apartment and hiding them in her car. It was a really unsettling situation for her, and she felt quite targeted.

Okay, so I’ve been following this case, and it’s just heartbreaking. Apparently, poor Storms has been going through so much. The lawyer, Barash, was saying in court that Storms has these awful breakdowns, gets really upset over things, and… and this is the worst part… has been hearing voices. Like, things that aren’t even real. People close to him have mentioned he might be struggling with stuff like Adderall, too. It just makes you worry so much, you know? He needs help, desperately.

Barash is asking for a mental health evaluation of Storms, who currently has court-ordered, supervised visits with their daughter.

The judge in the case is slated to reexamine the restraining order later this week.
