Another secret Avengers: Doomsday return looks like it has been spoiled

Okay, so it looks like another rumor about Avengers: Doomsday is gaining traction! Andy Serkis, who’s in a bunch of Marvel stuff, basically let slip that one of the actors from previous movies might be coming back for the next Russo brothers film. It was a pretty casual mention, but it’s definitely getting fans hyped!

Andy Serkis, known for playing Ulysses Klaue in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Black Panther, has suggested that Iman Vellani, his co-star from Animal Farm, might return as Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, in the upcoming film Doomsday.

Rumors suggested Iman Vellani might reprise her role as Kamala Khan, potentially joining the Young Avengers team. This speculation increased after Kathryn Newton confirmed she’d be returning as Cassie Lang in the upcoming Doomsday film.

While discussing their upcoming work, Andy Serkis and someone else were also talking about Serkis’ animated movie version of George Orwell’s Animal Farm.

Vellani expressed her enthusiasm for Andy Serkis reprising his role as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, and Serkis playfully responded by saying he was looking forward to seeing her in Doomsday (according to CinemaHub).

Iman Vellani, who first played Kamala in the Marvel series Ms. Marvel and later in the movie The Marvels, didn’t say whether she’d be back for future projects, but she seemed to enjoy Andy Serkis playfully hinting at a possible return.

“You shouldn’t say that,” she told him as he tried to correct his mistake, adding, “Oh, I can’t? Well, if the opportunity ever came up to…”

Fans quickly noticed a spoiler, and one person confirmed it on Instagram, writing, “Thank you for confirming Andy.”

One person jokingly called it an accidental spoiler, saying they weren’t surprised to hear she’d be in the Avengers. Another commenter laughed, suggesting she privately confirmed her involvement to someone off-camera.

Someone pointed out she’s appearing in Doomsday, jokingly suggesting Marvel’s spoiler protectors would be arriving soon, as another fan mentioned Andy’s involvement.

“The Marvel snipers have been activated,” they wrote.

If the reports are true, Vellani would join an already impressive cast featuring original Avengers Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, plus stars from the X-Men franchise like James Marsden, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, and Rebecca Romijn, alongside many other well-known actors.

Avengers: Doomsday is released in cinemas on 18 December.
