Fresh Summer House drama as star is hit with $16K lawsuit over rent… but the case has taken a twist

Danielle Olivera, known from the reality show Summer House, is facing a lawsuit for over $16,000. The suit claims she didn’t pay rent for three months.

Csaba and Ana Kanyaro were the owners of the apartment where the plaintiff lived – a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit in Brooklyn.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Olivera is being accused of failing to pay rent totaling $5,550 for the months of November and December of last year, and January of this year.

Her landlords wanted her to pay back the money she owed and also asked her to move out of her 1,246 square foot home.

We’ve learned that Olivera’s rent is current, and the disagreement with her landlords has been resolved. They are now on good terms.

The Daily Mail has contacted Olivera for comment. 

Olivera became a cast member on Summer House starting with season two in 2018 and appeared on the show for eight seasons before departing in 2024.

She announced on Instagram that she was leaving the Bravo series, explaining that she simply needed to follow her instincts.

Olivera, who also runs a styling app, explained that she needs to be fully committed and genuine when filming. She believes her team, the production, and her audience deserve her complete dedication, and she wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it as a full-time job otherwise.

The news about her rental issues came out shortly after drama unfolded on Summer House with the developing relationship between West Wilson and Amanda Batula.
