They’ve invested in companies that help people find and book events, and ultimately support 50 million nights out each year. Now, they’re expanding into sports by investing in The Snow League.

Okay, so I’ve been following this new league, The Snow League, and it’s seriously awesome. It was started by Shaun White – yeah, the Shaun White, with all those Olympic golds – and it’s all about bringing together the best snowboarders and skiers for head-to-head competitions around the globe. But it’s not just about the riding, you know? These events are huge – they feel like full-on festivals with live music and everything. It’s a great time for us fans as much as it is for the athletes.

This event is more than just a contest; it’s about building a whole culture around the sport,” explains White to TopMob. “Snowboarding and freeskiing have always included music, art, and the unique personalities of the athletes, and now we’re finally able to highlight those elements properly. It’s crucial to me that we provide our athletes with the recognition they’ve earned, including improved compensation, more engaging event formats, and a way for fans to connect with them on a personal level.”

This partnership is a good fit for Best Nights VC. People are increasingly seeking richer, more consistent experiences instead of just single events. We’re seeing a trend where they invest in things like social sports leagues and more elaborate vacations to fill their leisure time.

As a gamer, I totally get why BNVC invested in Social Sports. Their Managing Director, Lorrain de Silva, basically said they believe the best times happen when you’re actually doing stuff together, not just going to clubs. They’ve been watching Social Sports for a while because they think getting active, being on a team, and celebrating wins together creates real connections and a strong community – and that’s something I definitely look for in my games and in life!
