Lily James flashes a rare glimpse of her tattoos as she poses in a daring cutaway gown at a Disney event

Lily James showed off some of her tattoos while wearing a striking black dress with cutouts at a Disney event on Monday night.

The 36-year-old actress looked fantastic in a revealing outfit, showing off her fit stomach in a cropped halter top and low-rise skirt.

When Lily turned around, revealing the open back of her dress, her small tattoos were visible. She has a number nine on her shoulder and a dandelion on the back of her arm.

I’ve been following this star for a long time, and I’ve noticed she has the number nine tattooed on her. Honestly, we don’t know what it means, or when she first got it, but photos show she’s had it since at least June 2025 – so it’s been there for a good while now!

To finish her look, the actress who played Cinderella wore tall black heels and silver drop earrings.

Lily had spent January globetrotting after spending December in Australia to work on a new project.

The Downton Abbey actress shared in December that she was looking forward to 2026 with gratitude and excitement, anticipating good things in the new year.

Back in September, Lily was seen looking affectionate with her “Swiped” co-star, Pierson Fode, while they were walking together in New York City.

The Pam & Tommy star was last romantically linked to musician Michael Shuman in late 2023.

However, they split in February 2023 but were then seen together at Glastonbury later in the year.

People first learned about the romance between the Suffolk native and Michael in February 2021. They were seen sharing a kiss outside a hotel in England while she was working on the movie What’s Love Got To Do With It.

A year after first meeting, they publicly confirmed they were a couple by attending the Oscars together in Hollywood.

The musician was said to have moved in with the Mamma Mia star at their expensive North London home.

A month after that, the couple was photographed holding hands while visiting Michael’s parents, Ira and Janet Shuman, in Los Angeles. Ira previously worked as a production manager for Disney.

James dated actor Matt Smith, known for his role in The Crown, for five years, from 2014 to 2019. They first met on the set of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

While talking to Collider about her 2022 film, What’s Love Got To Do With It?, the actress briefly mentioned her thoughts on romance.

I think society often leads us to believe in this instant, magical connection – that you’ll suddenly meet the perfect person and everything will click.

‘And it’s gonna be, that’s it, you’re settled, and you’re done for life.

‘Happily ever after, dot, dot, dot – and that’s just not the case.’

She praised the film for portraying a sweet and realistic way love can develop – a love that grows naturally from friendship. She particularly liked that it focused on the beauty of everyday connections.
