Julia Roberts and her husband, Danny Moder, were spotted together in New York City this weekend, making a rare public appearance.

Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts, 58, and cinematographer Danny Moder, 57, recently attended a performance of the Broadway play Proof, which features actors Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle – both of whom Roberts has worked with previously.

Roberts kept warm in a textured black coat, which was cinched at her waist with a matching belt.

She had strawberry-blonde hair parted in the middle, cascading in loose waves to her shoulders, and topped it off with a pair of black sunglasses. She carried a green crossbody bag, adding a touch of style to her look.

Meanwhile, Moder – whom Roberts wed in 2002 – wore a tan jacket and pale green pants.

The actress shared a cozy photo with her husband on Instagram in early February to celebrate his birthday, which was January 31st.

She wrote in the caption, ‘My fav day. My fav man. #131 #WLF.’

The couple, a well-known entertainer and her husband who works as a cinematographer, marked 23 years of marriage on July 4th, 2025.

Moder celebrated his 23rd wedding anniversary by posting a sweet photo of him and his wife reflected in a silver spoon. He captioned the image, ’23 years is SILVER… captured in my engraved spoon! Here’s to many more years of fun… and a Happy 4th of July to everyone!’

The longtime couple share fraternal twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 21, and son Henry, 18.

Last spring, Moder celebrated Mother’s Day by posting a picture on Instagram of Roberts with their children, and wrote a caption saying, ‘Mothers create the most amazing things. Love my family!’

I was so touched to see her post about her youngest child’s birthday on social media in June. It was a really sweet tribute to him, and you could just feel how proud she is!

She posted an old childhood photo of him with a sweet message: ‘It feels like just yesterday this amazing boy was little, and now he’s already 18! I love you, Henry. #goldenboy #goldenbirthday’

She excitedly wrote about her twins’ November birthday, saying, ‘It’s amazing how quickly time has flown – they’ve gone from being one year old to twenty-one! Happy Birthday, my loves!’

In a September 2025 interview with her friend George Clooney, she discussed what it’s like to be a parent.

The veteran actors had a conversation published in the inaugural issue of 72 Magazine.

Roberts shared that she and her husband parent more strictly than many other families they know.

The actress said her children were among the last in their friend groups to receive phones and other internet-connected devices when they were growing up.
