I’m a Celeb viewers spot the moment that ‘proves’ Jimmy Bullard ‘lied’ about Adam Thomas trial

Viewers of ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ think they’ve found evidence that Jimmy Bullard wasn’t truthful about the Bushtucker Trial that led to his argument with Adam Thomas.

During filming last year in South Africa, Jimmy and Adam had a disagreement during a Bushtucker Trial. Jimmy wouldn’t participate, which jeopardized Adam’s spot in the challenge since they were working as a team.

The footballer’s time on the show ended abruptly after he jokingly said ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here’ during a team challenge.

Adam was extremely angry and yelled at Jimmy, “Are you kidding me? I’m in here getting bitten by ants!”

Jimmy replied: ‘Woah, calm down. That’s pathetic.’

Jimmy claims the interaction was even more severe, stating Adam also used a highly offensive slur and behaved in an aggressive, abusive, and intimidating manner.

The simmering conflict among the campmates finally boiled over during Friday’s live finale, sparked by Jimmy’s explanation of what he’d done.

He explained that the initial case revolved around celebrities, which led him to select Adam as a key figure.

‘Then you sprung a big lightbulb moment in my head when you said the bottom two get to go home.

After that, I decided not to pick Adam. I was surprised to learn someone would be eliminated, as I believed it was just about receiving stars.

Okay, so I was totally listening to him talk about his contract, and it’s insane! Apparently, someone on the show told him he’d only get a part of his money if he left while actually in camp. But if he waited and quit during the trial period? He gets the full amount! Can you believe that? It’s like they were trying to manipulate him! I’m so stressed for him, this is awful!

ITV viewers seemed skeptical of his statement. A clip from before the trials was shared on Reddit, where host Declan Donnelly explains: ‘For the next few days, you’ll be completing trials and challenges with a partner.’

‘And your fate going forward will depend on how well you perform during each trial in that pair.’

This led fans to comment on the video, questioning if it proved Jimmy’s statements were false.

He explained that he hadn’t intentionally chosen Adam. At the time, he believed Adam would be a strong player, but they only discovered the truth about his abilities after the teams were formed.

Another replied: ‘I said myself it seemed planned to sabotage Adam and his place.

This clearly shows Jimmy wasn’t telling the truth. He was even smirking while refusing to participate in the challenge, after allowing Adam to be exposed to the ants.

Adam and David Haye didn’t get along well while filming in the jungle last September. David was criticized for what some called ‘bullying’ after he harshly called the soap star ‘useless’ for sitting out a challenge because of health concerns.

Things got chaotic during the live finale when Gemma Collins and Sinitta angrily walked off stage, and hosts Ant and Dec had trouble regaining control.

After Adam reportedly used a highly offensive slur against Jimmy during a heated argument that led to the show being cancelled last year, the two Geordie personalities allowed Jimmy a chance to respond.

Jimmy explained he was leaving the show for private reasons. He also revealed that he wouldn’t have been paid his full salary unless he said the show’s catchphrase during a challenge.

Jimmy acknowledged he upset people, especially Adam, and admitted he’d made a mistake by blaming someone else. However, he firmly stated he wouldn’t tolerate abusive, aggressive, or intimidating behavior.

Jimmy invited Ant and Dec to give their thoughts, then pointed out that they hadn’t included the footage when they were present.

There was a lot of playful teasing between us, though a lot of what they said was left on the cutting room floor. Now, I think it’s time to share what really happened.

Sinitta angrily left the stage and shouted to the audience, explaining that they hadn’t witnessed the full extent of what happened. She described the situation as aggressive and abusive, saying it had been deeply upsetting and physically frightening.

Jimmy raised his voice, insisting that an apology from Adam didn’t excuse aggressive, abusive, or intimidating behavior. He refused to accept Ant’s claim that it hadn’t been aggressive, and demanded they review the interaction immediately, wanting everyone to witness it firsthand. He wanted to play the recording right then and there.

Ant and Dec wrapped up: ‘Right, let’s leave it there. We’ll agree to disagree Jim.’
