Sophie Turner recently enjoyed a night out at a popular bar in Notting Hill shortly after taking a break from filming. This seemingly harmless outing unexpectedly upset her coworkers.
A video obtained by a tabloid newspaper shows the actress who plays Lara Croft enjoying a night out with friends at Trejo’s Tacos, even though she had previously stated she needed time off.
The Mail on Sunday reports that workers on the expensive project are very upset they haven’t been able to continue their jobs while the star recovers from a reported back injury.
Staff working on the show reportedly had intense disagreements after footage surfaced of Ms. Turner, who has a net worth of £10 million, dancing at a bar in Mexico. This happened shortly after filming wrapped up at the Shinfield studios in Berkshire.
According to a witness, Sophie was the center of attention at the party, enjoying herself with friends, drinking and dancing. A crew member, who wasn’t being paid while filming was paused, also mentioned that many on set were told work would stop if Sophie wasn’t present.
Many people haven’t worked for over a month now and haven’t received paychecks because their contracts haven’t been renewed. Meanwhile, Sophie continues to get paid and has substantial financial resources.
Things have been really difficult lately. The crew started to rebel as soon as they saw the video, and it’s especially frustrating because many of them are struggling financially while she seems to be living comfortably.
Although there are rumors that the 30-year-old mother of two is back at work, a source says the situation remains irreparable.
Sophie Turner, who became famous playing Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones in 2011, is taking on the role of the adventurous archaeologist previously played by Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander. This new £100 million television series is written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the creator of Fleabag, and also features Sigourney Weaver.
From what I’m hearing, Sophie Turner is absolutely killing it as Lara – everyone on set thinks she looks fantastic! However, there’s a little uncertainty about whether she’ll be back for another season. It’s understandable, really, given everything she’s been through. As you know, 2023 brought a very public and difficult divorce from Joe Jonas, and a tough custody battle over their two adorable daughters, Willa and Delphine. It makes you wonder what her priorities are right now, and if she’s looking for a long-term commitment with this role.
In 2024, she shared that she tends to withdraw when feeling overwhelmed or down, explaining that she’d isolate herself when triggered or depressed. We reached out to Ms. Turner for a statement.
