Charlize Theron overcomes her fear of heights as she scales climbing wall set into a giant billboard in Times Square to promote new film

Charlize Theron, the Academy Award-winning actress, is known for her dedication to her craft. For her new movie, Apex, a thrilling survival story, she fully immersed herself in the role, taking method acting to a new level.

I was absolutely blown away watching Charlize Theron! After filming this intense thriller on the cliffs of the Australian outback, she came to Times Square and actually climbed a huge climbing wall built right into a billboard! It was incredible to see her trade one daring location for another – she’s truly fearless.

And the 50-year-old Monster star coolly completed the task several hundred feet above the ground.

Charlize acts alongside Taron Egerton, known for his role in Kingsman, who plays a serial killer pursuing her during a lone journey to honor her late husband.

She reportedly had to overcome a fear of heights to do her own stunts.

Wearing a white vest, loose-fitting white pants, and climbing shoes, with a harness securely fastened, she appeared calm and confident as she scaled the steep rock face.

The demanding filming schedule caused several injuries. She needed two operations on her arm, and also hurt her ribs and broke her toe.

Charlize Theron recently announced she’s planning to move to Australia, having grown to love the country while filming a movie there.

She filmed in the Blue Mountains, near Sydney, and shared with 10News Australia that she always knew she would eventually move to Australia.

‘Mark my words – I will live in Australia one day,’ she said.

‘It truly is, for me, an incredible place.’

Charlize also mentioned that her daughters, 14-year-old Jackson and 11-year-old August, enjoyed visiting her on set and grew to love the country as well.

My kids came to visit, and they really liked the place, but they never seem to notice where we actually are, location-wise, she explained.

‘My oldest was like: “Can we live here, Mum,” and I was like: “I know, right? It’s incredible.”‘

Charlize mentioned that she not only loved Australia’s beautiful landscapes, but also connected with the people she met there.

She expressed her affection for the people, admiring their spirited and determined nature. She also described the location as simply beautiful.

Charlize reaffirmed her plans to move to Australia, playfully stating, ‘I’ve made up my mind – I’m coming, whether you’re happy about it or not!’
