As I grow older, I find myself yearning for a less public persona, which might seem ironic given my profession. In truth, I’m quite ordinary and uneventful in my daily routines, Gina admitted.
Gina stated that she, along with her Kath & Kim co-star Jane Turner (aged 64), had always been uneasy about fame because they didn’t feel it aligned with their way of life.
‘We are more observers. We are not people who super belong.’
From 1983 to 2007, the entertainer who hails from Melbourne maintained a steady presence in both films and TV shows. It was in 2007 that her widely-loved sitcom, which she co-created with Turner, came to an end after four successful seasons.
