The new Spider-Man series takes place in 1933 New York City and features Morris as Robbie Robertson, a tenacious freelance journalist. Robbie consistently pursues important stories, often finding himself in risky situations, especially when he starts investigating the dangerous mob boss Silvermane. The series quickly reveals that Robbie knew Ben was The Spider before the show began, and they’ve become friends. This gives Robbie an inside track on reporting Ben’s activities, similar to how Peter Parker reports on his own adventures as Spider-Man.

Sueños is a huge Latin music festival that takes place in Chicago’s Grant Park every Memorial Day weekend. Celebrating its fifth year, the festival, which is for ages 18 and up, featured over 40 artists performing on three stages – La Plaza, La Fuente, and the main stage – with a mix of reggaetón, música Mexicana, and Latin electronic dance music.

Emma Myers’ performance is key to the show’s success. She portrays Enid’s insecurities with depth and subtlety, avoiding the typical, overdone teenage angst often seen on TV. When Enid is joyful, Myers brings a delightful energy to the screen. This is especially clear in the second season, where she hilariously imitates Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday in a Freaky Fridayinspired episode. However, viewers can truly appreciate Myers’ full range as an actress in her other teen drama, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder*, which allows her to showcase her dramatic skills like never before.

A revival of A Different World is coming to Netflix on September 24, 2026. Like the original series, it will be set at Hillman College and will include both new characters and familiar faces. Felicia Pride, known for her work on Grey’s Anatomy and Bel-Air, is the showrunner and executive producer. The first season will have more than 10 episodes, and a short trailer has just been released, giving viewers a first look at the new show before it premieres this fall.

The new sci-fi horror film Backrooms, from A24, is now in theaters and getting good reviews. It’s based on a popular series of videos created by Parsons on YouTube. He first uploaded The Backrooms (Found Footage) in January 2022, and it quickly gained a large following, now with over 3.1 million subscribers and a total of more than 200 million views across all his videos.

The 10-piece collection was designed by San Francisco-based studio Ammunition, and its inspiration comes from the lifestyle and buildings found along the California coast.

I’ll always remember this actor for his amazing work on TV, especially as Captain Malcolm Reynolds in Firefly. That show, created by Joss Whedon, was something special – a space Western set in 2517 about the crew of a little spaceship called Serenity. They were constantly traveling to new and unexplored parts of the galaxy, always one step ahead of people trying to capture them – whether it was warring groups or the authorities. It’s a real shame Firefly only lasted 11 episodes back in 2002 before Fox canceled it, but even with that short run, it gained a huge, dedicated fanbase. Thankfully, the story continued with a follow-up movie!
