Don Julio Tequila and TopMob Latin America collaborated at Sueños Festival this weekend, hosting an exclusive Hub for invited guests within the Artist Village at Chicago’s Grant Park.
Sueños is a huge Latin music festival that takes place in Chicago’s Grant Park every Memorial Day weekend. Celebrating its fifth year, the festival, which is for ages 18 and up, featured over 40 artists performing on three stages – La Plaza, La Fuente, and the main stage – with a mix of reggaetón, música Mexicana, and Latin electronic dance music.
Okay, so at Coachella, Tequila Don Julio had this awesome lounge – it was a total escape from the crazy festival noise. A bunch of artists, creators, and people who love the brand hung out there both weekends. Being a Mexican tequila with a ton of history, Don Julio really focuses on celebrating Hispanic and Latino culture. They do that by creating experiences – like this lounge – that bring people together and showcase amazing music and art. It felt really cool to see them support the community like that.
Okay, so at this event, they had a really cool bar with three awesome tequila drinks. I tried a Margarita made with Don Julio Reposado – it was super fresh with real lime and this amazing homemade orange liqueur, plus a spicy salt rim. Then there was a Paloma, also with Don Julio, but mixed with grapefruit and soda – really refreshing. And for the big spenders, they had the 1942, just served neat over ice. They also had a tasting where we got to try all the different types of Don Julio, from the Blanco all the way up to the 1942, which was a nice touch. Plus, there was a photo booth where everyone could get their picture taken, which was fun!
The limited-edition Tequila Don Julio 1942 bottle, created for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™, was a highlight of the event and given to musicians to honor their success. As part of the brand’s “Made to Be Raised” campaign, this special bottle celebrates shared moments of pride, connection, and achievement brought together by the love of soccer.
As a huge World Cup fan, I was really impressed with the special Tequila Don Julio bottle they created for the 2026 tournament! It’s designed like a trophy – seriously, the gold finish is stunning – and the green closure reminds me of the energy and excitement of the games. They really showcased it at the Sueños festival, and it just felt like the perfect way to celebrate everything about the World Cup.
This tequila features the classic 1942 blend: a smooth, aged tequila made from 100% Blue Weber agave, matured for at least two years in American white oak barrels. You’ll taste hints of oak, vanilla, and cooked agave. The ‘1942’ name honors the year Don Julio González started his tequila-making journey in Jalisco, and the special 1942 bottle was first released in 2002 to celebrate the brand’s 60th anniversary.
The limited-edition bottle has been available in the United States and Canada since April.
