Kristen Bell reveals the dirty joke she snuck into Frozen that every parent missed

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for storytelling and a heart for all things Disney, I find Kristen Bell‘s revelation about the double entendre in Frozen’s For the First Time In Forever to be nothing short of enchanting. The actress’ experience brings a delightful twist to the magical world of Disney, proving that even in the most pristine fairy tales, there lies a touch of humor and wit.

Kristen Bell disclosed that she slipped a playful jest into one of the tunes from Disney’s Frozen.

In the 2013 movie and its 2019 sequel, the voice actress behind Princess Anna revealed that a subtle double meaning was missed by many viewers, even most parents, in the song “For the First Time in Forever.

In a TikTok interview with Vanity Fair, which was published on Wednesday, Bell highlighted the lyrics, “‘I’ve wandered through vacant corridors for so long / Why keep a dance hall without any dances?”, from her character.

With a wink and a chuckle, she questioned, “How on earth did that joke make its way in there? Let’s be honest!” She swiftly followed with, “We managed to sneak it past unnoticed.

Almost omitted from the final version, the line narrowly made the cut in the song, as per Bell’s explanation, to tone down its implicit connotations and avoid any potential issues.

She acknowledged that it came very close to being excluded, but then they responded, “What do you mean by that? That interpretation is incorrect. Stop making inappropriate suggestions.

In the end, the lyrics stayed, infusing a gentle humor and contributing to the movie’s charm, turning it into a timeless Disney masterpiece. Interestingly, its follow-up film set a new record as the most financially successful animated movie ever made.

Pondering over her time spent on both Frozen movies, Bell expressed to the publication how fulfilling it was for her to bring the character of Princess Anna to reality.

She openly acknowledged that, like many others, she had long harbored the desire to be part of a Disney animated movie.

She went on to say, “They were incredibly influential during my youth, and I became quite enamored with them. I can still recall times when I would sit in my living room, playing my small, outdated cassette player, recording myself singing along to ‘The Little Mermaid’, just in case I might someday need that tape.

When Bell learned she had been cast as Princess Anna, she was over the moon with excitement.

‘It occurred to me that I would do anything they asked me to,’ she continued.

Instead of trying to achieve something generic, my focus should have been on developing a character that I deeply yearned for at the age of 11, and fortunately, they allowed me to bring such a character to life.

She mentioned that she aimed to make Anna seem more familiar and endearing by bestowing her with authentic, eccentric characteristics, like habitual snoring, occasional drooling, and a tendency towards clumsiness.

Bell expressed gratitude for the cooperative approach, pointing out that while certain concepts of hers were incorporated into the character’s traits, she also had the opportunity to add unique, imaginative touches to make the character more vibrant.

Disney has confirmed that Frozen 3 will be released in cinemas on November 24, 2027, coinciding with the Thanksgiving celebration.

The most recent announcement about a new film arrives several months following when Disney’s Chief Executive Officer, Bob Iger, mentioned last November that they are also planning a fourth movie for their popular animated series.
