Strictly’s Dianne Buswell cuts a stylish figure in a leotard and jeans while Vito Coppola and Nancy Xu lark around with a watermelon as they arrive at rehearsals
As a seasoned fan of both British television and dance competitions, I must say that this year’s Strictly Come Dancing lineup is nothing short of extraordinary! With a diverse mix of talents, from comedy stars like Sarah Hadland, who has graced our screens with her wit in Miranda and Horrible Histories, to singing sensations such as Shayne Ward, the winner of The X Factor’s second season, it seems that the producers have truly outdone themselves this time.
On Thursday, Dianne Buswell entered the Strictly Come Dancing rehearsal studio in north London with a beaming grin, dressed casually in a black leotard and blue denims.
The skilled dancer showed up with fellow BBC cast members Vito Coppola and Nancy Xu, who playfully tossed a watermelon aloft.
Dianne, with her fashionable style, confidently strolled into the studio, donning a pair of sandals and a scarf wrapped around her head.
As a dedicated fan, I constantly cradle my treasured items within a stylish tan satchel, sipping coffee and chatting passionately over the phone, all while moving about with unwavering enthusiasm.
As the dance floor pulsed with rhythm, I, Vito, couldn’t help but feel an uncontainable joy swelling within me. My eyes darted to my sleeveless white T-shirt, emblazoned with ‘Buon Ferragosto a tutti Vito’, a testament to the public holiday in Italy on August 15th. I traced the words with a vivid pen, adding a dash of color to the night.
The Ferragosto celebration on August 15 marks the height of summer in Italy.
He kept casual in a pair of white denim shorts and trainers as he arrived alongside Nancy who turned heads in a blue halterneck top and black skirt.
In another location, Gorka Márquez displayed his toned, tattooed arms in a navy tank top and shorts while enjoying music via Airpods.
The Spanish star flashed a smile as he carried multiple bags into the studio.
As a devoted fan, I found myself feeling at ease in an expansive, charcoal-hued Disney sweatshirt adorned with the iconic Mickey Mouse emblem on its front.
She paired a jumper with black leggings and carried her items in a white bag.
As I let my cascading wavy hair flow freely, I, Nadiya, gleamed with joy and strode confidently towards the studio adorned with a set of striking large silver hoop earrings.
Karen Hauer wore a sports sweatshirt and green leggings with a smile, while carrying her possessions in a Louis Vuitton bag.
TV personality Nikita Kuzmin, known from Celebrity Big Brother, arrived stylishly with a white t-shirt and brown shorts, beaming at photographers and giving a peace symbol.
Simultaneously, Michelle Tsiakkas showcased her long legs in a breezy, floral minidress and sandals.
Leaving her long dark tresses loose, the dancer completed her stylish outfit with a pair of sunglasses and a black handbag.
Johannes Radebe was spotted climbing out of a car as he arrived at the dance studio wearing a stylish double denim co-ord.
Katya Jones and Carlos Gu looked happy to see each other as they hugged outside on arrival.
katya drew attention in a striking orange McLaren racing bomber jacket, pairing it with a black dress and partially translucent stockings.
She kept comfortable in a pair of lace up boots and carried a large silver handbag.
Simultaneously, Carlo wore a large, alternating black and white sweater, along with short blue shorts and trainers.
Jowita Przystał looked incredible in a grey shorts co-ord which she tucked a white T-shirt into.
She wore a fashionable jacket and coordinating tailored shorts, adding a touch of elegance with several necklaces stacked up.
After the Strictly celebrity contestants arrived for their initial rehearsals last week, it occurred subsequently.
Shayne Ward, Sarah Hadland, Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri, and comedian Chris McCausland convened in a London studio, where they were cordially welcomed by the professional dance team.
Last Thursday, it was announced that EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick and Olympic swimmer Tom Dean were two of the latest celebrities to join the roster, making them the 10th and 11th names confirmed.
Last year’s Christmas episode saw Jamie earn the maximum score for his role as Jay Brown on EastEnders, which has now led him to be included in the regular cast.
On Radio 1, Jamie shared that he thoroughly enjoyed participating in the Strictly Christmas special last year. When given the opportunity to join for this season, he responded with an instant “yes!”
As a seasoned performer with a rich background in dance, I am thrilled to embark on this new journey that promises to be unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Every week, I’ll be learning a fresh rhythm, and I can hardly wait for the audience’s feedback. The anticipation of Salsa-ing across Albert Square fills me with excitement! In my time on Walford Strictly, I’ve learned valuable lessons from fellow dancers, and now I look forward to tapping into their wisdom once more as I navigate this exciting new adventure.
24-year-old Tom, who recently won an Olympic gold medal in swimming, has previously revealed that he will not be participating in the upcoming television show, following his team’s triumphant victory in the freestyle relay during the recent Summer Olympics.
Overflowing with enthusiasm following Team GB’s victory, Tom inadvertently disclosed his plans to participate in the forthcoming BBC dance series.
At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Tom made history as the first British man to win a gold medal for the men’s 200m swim freestyle in over 100 years, going on to win a further gold medal in Tokyo.
More recently, at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Tom earned his third gold medal for Team GB as part of the 4 x 200m freestyle relay team.
Tom confessed that he had prematurely disclosed the news about his participation in Strictly Come Dancing 2024, stating on Thursday: ‘I’m joining Strictly Come Dancing 2024! It might have slipped out poolside initially… but now I can openly discuss my enthusiasm for this exciting opportunity. I can’t wait to engage with some fantastic individuals, learn to dance, and get started!’
After being revealed on ITV’s Lorraine show, Corrie actor Shayne and Miranda actress Sarah hurriedly made their way from the studio to their rehearsals.
Sarah, aged 53, has become well-known for playing the character Stevie alongside Miranda in the acclaimed BBC comedy show, and also as an original cast member of the widely recognized and multi-awarded series, Horrible Histories.
Apart from being a popular comedian, this individual has also appeared in shows like Waterloo Road, That Mitchell and Webb Look, and the 2008 James Bond film, Quantum of Solace.
Sarah was thrilled beyond words: ‘I just can’t wrap my head around being a part of Strictly! Being involved with this legendary show in its 20th year has me buzzing. I can hardly wait for the sparkle, style, and sequins, and I hope to make everyone tuning in from home proud!’
In 2005, Shayne, now 39 years old, skyrocketed to popularity after triumphing in the second season of The X Factor. Later on, he’ll be teaming up with another X Factor alum, JB Gill from JLS, on Strictly.
Despite his first and second albums reaching the top spots on the charts, his third album was met with moderate response and poor sales figures.
Transitioning into the realm of acting, the performer became part of the Coronation Street ensemble, playing Aidan Connor from 2015 to 2018, a full ten years following his victory in the singing contest.
Shayne made his last appearance as Aidan Connor on 7 May 2018.
Previously, the star had participated in Dancing on Ice competition, gaining some dance experience, which he now brings to the table.
I just graced the screens in a riveting drama on Channel 5 titled The Good Ship Murder, sharing the limelight with my esteemed former Coronation Street colleague, Catherine.
Shayne expressed his excitement: “I can hardly wait to experience the dazzle and enchantment that Strictly has in person,” he said. “I’ve worked on live television before, but performing Latin and Ballroom dance in front of a massive audience is something else entirely. I may not be the best dancer, but I promise to give it my all!”
Strictly Come Dancing fans have furiously slammed this year’s lineup as ‘the worst to ever exist’.
Love Island alum Tasha Ghouri and TOWIE personality Pete Wicks are among the new cast members announced for the upcoming season. They will be joined by comedian Chris McCausland, JLS vocalist JB Gill, ’80s musician Toyah Wilcox, BBC presenter Dr Punam Krishnan, and singer Wynne Evans.
