Walz agrees to an Oct. 1 vice presidential debate on CBS. Vance hasn’t responded
As a seasoned film enthusiast who’s seen more political dramas than I care to count, I must admit that the upcoming debates are shaping up to be quite the blockbuster sequel. Tim Walz, much like a dependable leading man, has gracefully accepted the challenge of going head-to-head with his Republican rival, JD Vance.
Governor Tim Walz consents to a vice-presidential debate set for October 1st on CBS, opposite his GOP competitor JD Vance, who hasn’t replied to the invitation yet.
On Wednesdays announcement, CBS News stated they have extended invitations to both Walz and Vance, proposing four potential dates for a debate in New York City.
On receiving the invite, I swiftly shared on platform X, “Looking forward to seeing you on October 1st, JD.” Spending my Wednesday in Denver at a private gathering that netted around $3 million, I’m now bound for New England, where I’ve got fundraisers lined up in Boston and Rhode Island. (As a movie buff, I might say it like this: “Accepted the invite promptly on X, ‘See you October 1st, JD.’ Spent my Wednesday raking in $3M at a Denver soiree, now en route to New England for events in Boston and Rhode Island.”)
On September 10th, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Trump will engage in their initial debate, marking the first encounter between these political adversaries. Trump has suggested holding two additional debates as well.
