Need a new show to watch? Channel 5 has a free, four-part thriller called For Her Sins starring Jo Joyner, and it’s short enough to watch in one night. It originally aired on Channel 5 in 2023 and is now available in the streaming service’s ‘Binge in a Day‘ collection.
The film For Her Sins features former Eastenders star as Laura Conroy, a lawyer, mother, and wife who seems to have it all.
Everything changes for her when she meets the captivating Emily (Rachel Shenton) at school. Old secrets start to emerge, and her life begins to fall apart.

Okay, so I saw a review on IMDb that pretty much hit the nail on the head. The show isn’t exactly breaking new ground, but it’s still… enjoyable? The reviewer said you just have to turn your brain off a little and go with it, and honestly, that’s good advice!
Someone else commented that while the show isn’t flawless, it’s definitely enjoyable, and compared to other dramas on Channel Five, it’s pretty average.
What to Read Next
This show is well-made and more engaging than many recent dramas. It’s easy to follow, with a simple plot that doesn’t require a lot of effort to understand.
Another viewer said they were immediately captivated, praising the storyline as exciting and full of unexpected twists that made it very entertaining to watch.

This mystery thriller is a light and easy watch – you don’t need to pay super close attention to follow it. I particularly enjoyed the acting; the two lead actresses were very convincing and did a great job.
Towards the end of last year, viewers of the soap opera EastEnders speculated that Tanya Branning might return to the show, following the reappearance of her son Oscar and former husband Max on Albert Square.
I was listening to Amy Hart’s podcast, and they asked if I might return to EastEnders to finish out the Branning storyline. I said no, at least not this year! I’m super busy with other things right now, but you never know what the future holds, so I didn’t completely rule it out.
While it’s not a yes, “never say never,” is a least promising.
For Her Sins is streaming now on Channel 5.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a beautiful, full-color 100-page tribute to Sir David Attenborough, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online.
