Paulin, Paulin, Paulin is collaborating with Hauser & Wirth to present Mise-en-scène, a new exhibition opening this month in Monaco. The Paris-based studio, dedicated to the work of influential designer Pierre Paulin, has redesigned the gallery space. It’s now an immersive setting where famous furniture pieces are displayed alongside artwork from modern and contemporary artists.

This exhibition blends furniture and art, showcasing works by renowned artists like Pablo Picasso, Louise Bourgeois, Jean Arp, Lucio Fontana, and Andy Warhol. It also includes pieces by contemporary artists Rashid Johnson, Henry Taylor, and Paul McCarthy, creating a dynamic and immersive environment. The display explores how form and function connect, positioning Paulin’s furniture and decorative objects alongside iconic works from the 20th and 21st centuries to spark a visual conversation.

Beyond the art on display, the residency also features “Sounds Like Paulin,” a record label and cultural project created by Benjamin and Alice Paulin. This project focuses on sound as a way to bring people together, and will include events throughout the year. It kicks off on April 9th with a performance by The Cristalist, happening at the same time as the exhibition’s opening and a public viewing. The exhibition will be open by appointment all summer, offering a constantly changing and immersive experience in Monte Carlo.
