Okay, so KRAFTON India just launched the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (2026) today, and it’s HUGE! They’re giving away over ₹2 Crore in prize money, which is insane. The tournament is running until June 21, 2026, and they’ve totally changed up how the competition works this year. The best part? The top two teams will qualify for the 2026 Esports World Cup in Riyadh – that’s what we’re all grinding for!
BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2024: Schedule and Format
India’s biggest BGMI esports tournament, BMPS, is officially underway! Sixty-four of the top BGMI teams in the country are battling it out through several rounds of competition, leading up to the Grand Finals, which will be held from June 19th to 21st, 2026.
A major change in this year’s BMPS is the new Promotion and Relegation system, which began during the Qualifiers. Instead of just needing a good start, teams’ rankings will change after every six matches. This means the best four teams from Groups B, C, and D will move up to higher groups, while the four lowest-ranked teams from Groups A, B, and C will be moved down.
And, the tournament itself takes place across five competitive phases.
- Qualifiers: Runs from May 6 to May 31, where the 64 invited teams battle across Erangel, Miramar, and Rondo. At the end of this stage, the top eight teams from Group A will get direct slots in the Grand Finals.
- Survival Stage: Runs from June 2 to June 5, where 32 teams compete in a round-robin format for the remaining Semi-Final slots.
- Semi-Finals: Runs from June 9 to June 12, featuring 24 teams competing in a double round-robin setup, with only the top six advancing directly to the finals.
- Last Chance: It will be held on June 13 and 14, giving the remaining semi-final teams one last opportunity to qualify through a 12-match sprint.
- Grand Finals: Finally, the Grand Finals will take place from June 19 to June 21 in a LAN format, where the top 16 teams will compete across 18 matches to become the BMPS 2026 champion.
Participating Teams in BMPS 2026
This year, only 64 of the best teams will compete, a decrease from the 96 teams that participated in BMPS 2025. Organizers chose these teams based on their performance in BGIS 2026, the UE India Rising Series, the College Campus Tour, and through direct invitations (KIE Invited Teams).
It includes some of the biggest teams, like:
- iQOO SOUL
- Godlike Esports
- iQOO Orangutan
- iQOO Revenant XSpark
- Gods Reign
- True Rippers
- iQOO 8BIT
- NEBULA Esports
- Phoenix Esports
- Genesis Esports
- Team AX
BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2026: Prize Pool
The tournament boasts a prize pool of over ₹2 Crore (approximately $240,000 – $245,000), with the winning team receiving the largest share. Additionally, BMPS 2026 will send two top Indian teams to compete in the 2026 Esports World Cup.
The team at the top of the KRAFTON India Esports leaderboard will automatically qualify. The second qualifying spot goes to the champion of BMPS 2026. If the same team wins both the leaderboard and BMPS 2026, the second-place team from BMPS 2026 will take the second qualifying spot.
