Okay, so The Devil Wears Prada 2 is finally here! They brought back a bunch of the original cast, which is awesome, but there’s also a ton of new faces and even some celebrity cameos. If you’re curious who’s in it, I’ve got a guide listing everyone right here.
However, not all the original cast members are returning, most notably Adrian Grenier, who played Nate, Andy Sachs’s boyfriend. His character proved to be quite controversial with viewers.
David Frankel, the director, thought about having Josh Grenier make a quick appearance as Nate, but it ultimately didn’t work out because of scheduling and practical issues.

The director told Entertainment Weekly they’d considered a surprise appearance by him, but it didn’t work out. The production schedule was too tight, and with post-production finishing just a month ago, there simply wasn’t enough time to film it.
When asked about a possible cameo appearance, Frankel didn’t reveal any details, simply saying, “I probably shouldn’t say.”
What to Read Next
Grenier recently made a joke in a Starbucks ad about not being asked to return for a sequel, saying he was actually happy about it.
Frankel said she was delighted to see his funny and humble Starbucks commercial. She especially appreciated how self-deprecating and humorous it was.

Sydney Sweeney faced an even tougher situation, as she had already filmed a cameo appearance for the highly anticipated sequel. Unfortunately, the roughly three-minute scene didn’t make it into the finished movie.
I was so excited to see Emily Charlton back, and I heard the scene where she reappeared was actually cut down a bit. Apparently, the filmmakers wanted to really focus on the character and her story, not just the fact that Emily Blunt was in it. It makes sense, honestly – they wanted us to connect with Emily Charlton, not just the actress playing her!
You can now see The Devil Wears Prada 2 in movie theaters. If you want to revisit the original, it’s currently streaming on Disney+ and also available to watch for free with ads on Channel 4 for a limited time.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a beautiful, full-color 100-page tribute to Sir David Attenborough, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
