Hailey Bieber teases Rhode’s future after massive $1billion sale while named ‘most influential’ by TIME

Last year, Hailey Bieber significantly impacted the beauty world with the $1 billion sale of her skincare line, Rhode, and she’s planning to continue her success.

At 29, the successful entrepreneur is on the cover of the newest TIME magazine, with her skincare company recognized as one of the most influential businesses of the year.

Justin Bieber’s wife, Hailey, shared that she plans to continue building her business ventures, stating that she considers herself an entrepreneur.

I’m looking to grow my business and take on more opportunities, but I’m not feeling any pressure to do it quickly.

Bieber demonstrated her business acumen by expressing a desire to learn from the mistakes of founders who sold their companies previously.

The business leader explained that it’s common to hear stories about startup founders who, after selling their companies, are either forced out, choose to leave, or simply take the money and pursue other interests.

In June 2022, Hailey Bieber debuted her skincare line with just three initial products: Peptide Glazing Fluid, Barrier Restore Cream, and Peptide Lip Treatment.

Since then, the brand has experienced rapid growth, adding tinted lip products, blush, and even popular phone cases designed to hold lip gloss.

In May 2025, she sold her company to e.l.f. Beauty for $1 billion, all while adjusting to life as a new mother after welcoming her son, Jack Blues, in August 2024.

She told TIME of that period: ‘I felt really stretched in a lot of ways.

Everything feels like it’s changing rapidly, and it’s made me realize how much I’m capable of – not just professionally, but in all aspects of my life, as a woman, a mother, a wife, a friend, and as an entrepreneur.

Growing up as the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin and later marrying Justin Bieber, she’s always been in the public eye. Her achievements in business have only brought even more attention to her life.

Justin Bieber shared that being in the public eye comes with a lot of criticism. He admitted it can be difficult when every aspect of his life is constantly scrutinized and analyzed.

Honestly, sometimes it feels like people try to define me with narratives that just aren’t true. It’s incredibly unsettling when that happens! I’ve learned that I need to stay focused on my own path and keep moving forward, no matter what story others are trying to create.

Even after selling the company, I’m so glad Justin Bieber is staying involved! He’s still the founder, and he’s leading the creative side as Chief Creative Officer and heading up all the new ideas as Head of Innovation. It’s awesome to see him still so dedicated to the brand.

Last week, Bieber led the A-list arrivals at the prestigious TIME100 Gala in New York City.

Oh my gosh, you guys, it’s the gala! The one at Jazz at Lincoln Center! It’s where they celebrate everyone who made the 2026 list of the world’s 100 most influential people – basically, the absolute elite! I’m completely obsessed with finding out who’s on it and seeing them all honored. It’s a huge deal!

Justin Bieber returned to the 2023 list’s red carpet, this time wearing a stunning silver lace dress that showed off his fit physique.

The skintight frock had skinny straps and a modest train that pooled at her feet.

He had some seriously cool surprise guests – Billie Eilish, SZA, and Big Sean all popped up on stage! I was right there, front row, and the energy was unbelievable.

Justin was absent from Thursday’s TIME100 Gala, leaving Bieber to walk the event’s red carpet solo.
