Eversoul heads for global closure on June 30, 2026, following the same fate as the Japan version

Story Highlights

  • Eversoul is a popular idle gacha RPG known for its charming characters, town building features, and immersive storytelling.
  • You can still play the game and request refunds for recent purchases until June 30, 2026.

Okay, so this is a bummer. Kakao Games just announced that Eversoul, the RPG I’ve been collecting characters in, is shutting down worldwide on June 30, 2026. It actually had a couple of release delays to begin with, launching globally in 2023 and then in Japan in 2024. Sadly, the Japanese version didn’t even last a year – it closed in August 2025 – and now the global version is going the same way. It’s a shame, but it looks like Eversoul’s run is coming to an end.

Eversoul is closing since devs can’t continue service despite their efforts

You’ve probably seen Eversoul – it’s a popular mobile game with great reviews! It’s a collectible RPG where you gather powerful characters called Souls from six different groups, and then create a team. You can also build and customize your own town and get to know your Souls better.

Hello Eversoul players,

We’re sad to announce that Eversoul will no longer be available after June 30, 2026. Thank you for playing and for all your support.

The Eversoul team announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the game will shut down on June 30, 2026. They explained that this difficult decision was made after careful consideration, even though they tried to find ways to keep the game running. It’s disappointing news for players.

You can still download, play, and request refunds until June 30

After the recent announcement, all payments and purchases within the game have been turned off. The good news is you can still download and play the game until the service ends. Plus, if you made any purchases between March 29th and today, you can request a refund – it’s not a lot, but it’s a nice gesture.

Lots of fans, including me, are really upset about this news. Even Stix, a well-known content creator, calls it one of the top three idle gacha games out there, and I have to agree. Some people have suggested an offline mode as an alternative, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.
