North West’s Debut EP Drops This Friday

Over the past year, North West has shown she’s truly dedicated to music. At just 12 years old, she’s rapidly gaining recognition and creating her own unique style within the popular, energetic world of rap, reflecting the tastes of her generation.

She’s built a reputation and strong connections within the underground hip-hop scene, collaborating with artists like Bktherula, Ice Spice, skaiwater, and Che, both in the studio and around New York City. Her official solo debut single, “PIERCING ON MY HAND,” came out in February. Before that, she’d been featured on tracks by Ye (“TALKING” and “BOMB”) and FKA twigs, including twigs’ acclaimed song “Childlike Things.”

Man, I was so hyped when “PIERCING ON MY HAND” dropped – it really got everyone talking about West’s first EP! She officially announced it earlier this week, and ever since that song came out, she’s been dropping little teasers on social media – snippets of music, cool visuals, and always with the caption “EP soon.” It’s killing me waiting for the full thing!

The project, called N0rth4evr, doesn’t include the song “PIERCING ON MY HAND.” Instead, it features a new collection of six tracks: “H0w sh0uld ! f33l,” “D!e,” “#N0rth4evR,” “Th!s tim3,” “W0ah,” and “Aishite (愛して),” which is a Japanese phrase meaning “love me.”
