Neverness to Everness Chiz Build Guide: Kit, Best Arcs, Console, Teams and more

Story Highlights

Okay, so I’m a huge fan of Chiz in Neverness to Everness! She’s an S-rank Cosmos Gas character, and honestly, she’s a powerhouse. I use her as my main damage dealer – she’s all about getting in close and dealing serious hurt. I’ve been looking all over for a good guide, and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned about building her best. This covers everything – her abilities, the best Arcs to equip, what Console works best for her, and the teams she shines in!

Neverness to Everness Chiz Build Guide: Kit explained

Chiz is a powerful attacker who focuses on building up and then using ‘Grain’. While her abilities enhance her own power, they can limit how much power her teammates gain, so it’s best to pair her with allies who can generate power quickly on their own. Here’s a closer look at how her Basic Attack, Skills, Ultimate, and Passive abilities work:

Basic Attack

Basic Attack: Exiled Swordplay

Chiz swings her staff in a quick series of up to 5 attacks, dealing Cosmos damage. Each hit generates Grain, a special resource she uses in battle after becoming a team member.

Basic Attack: Barren

Tap the ‘Barren’ button to launch ‘Brown Sugar Boba’ at your enemy, dealing Cosmos damage twice and rewarding you with Grain and Fons. This can happen every 2.5 seconds. If you hold the ‘Barren’ button while using ‘Exiled Swordplay’ attacks, it creates an additional attack that also deals Cosmos damage twice and grants Grain and Fons.

This skill gives you bonus Fons when you defeat an enemy, up to a maximum of 250,000. If you increase your Tycoon Level to 25, this maximum increases to 500,000. Once you reach the daily Fons limit, you’ll earn 1 Fons per use, but you won’t receive any more Fons that day.

Basic Attack: Bountiful Grain

If you press the Basic Attack button while in the air, your character will plunge downwards, dealing Cosmos Damage to enemies in an area. This also gives you some Grain. The higher you are when you plunge, the more damage you’ll deal, up to 200% more!

Critical Riposte: Minsky Moment

After successfully dodging an attack with a critical timing and then using a Basic Attack, the character leaps back, swings their staff, and sends Brown Sugar Boba flying at the enemy. This deals Cosmos damage, lowers the enemy’s Break meter, and gives the character Grain.

Skill

Chiz’s skill lets her absorb ‘Gains.’ After using her skill, she enters a state called ‘Surplus,’ where she deals extra Cosmos damage. The amount of damage depends on how many ‘Grains’ she has. You control how many Grains she uses by either holding down her skill button or quickly tapping it.

Chiz uses a resource called Grain to continuously damage enemies. The more Grain she uses, the more damage she deals. When her Half Grain ability ends, she consumes all of her Grain, including any borrowed Grain (called Grain Loans) she has outstanding. After using all her Grain, she can then utilize Grain Loans as a separate resource to continue dealing damage.

When Chiz doesn’t have any grains, she enters a debt state.

Press the Redirect Skill button again to use one skill charge and immediately end the Half Grain effect. This stops Grain from being consumed and activates the Full Grain effect. Also, if Chiz is in Surplus state, holding the skill button will cast Pink Paws Priority Principle, making Redirect Skill: No Grain deal extra Cosmos damage to the enemy, based on how much Grain Chiz has.

Ultimate

Chiz attacks by throwing Brown Sugar Boba, which deals area-of-effect Cosmos damage to enemies and then allows her to enter the Grain Market for 7 seconds.

Once Chiz activates her Ultimate ability, Zero-Sum game, any outstanding Grain Loans will be transformed into Grain, and she’ll begin generating Profit. She will then invest all of this Grain into the Grain Market. When she uses her Pink Paws Supremacy skill, the current Grain Price will determine how much Grain she receives in Grain Settlement.

Chiz leaves the Grain Market when it closes or when you switch characters. Any Grain you have will first be used to pay off your Grain Loan. Even if you owe money (have a non-zero Grain Loan), Chiz can still enter the Grain Market.

Passive Skills

  • Hanahaki Disease: Grants active characters 4 additional Charge. This skill increases team charge efficiency.
  • Hoarding: Prevents other team members from gaining Charge and increases Chiz’s Charge Efficiency by 20% while on the field.

Neverness to Everness Chiz Build Guide: Best Arcs

Arcs Effects
Contemplative Cat (S) Increases Cosmos DMG by 2.5% for every 100000 Fons the wearer holds, up to 10 stacks.
Fluff of Finesse (S) Increases wearer’s damage by 8% for 10s after performing a Critical Dodge, up to 3 stacks. Resets the duration when triggered again.

Neverness to Everness Chiz Build Guide: Best Console

Console Effects
Lost Radiance Epic (2): Cosmos DMG +10%.
Legendary (4): Ignores 25% of enemies’ DEF for 20s after the wearer casts Ultimate. The effect does not stack.

It’s her best console set, which gives Cosmos DMG buff and also buffs her Ultimate.

Stat Priority: Chaos DMG% > CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG > ATK

Best Team Comps for Chiz

Chiz/Hathor/Zero/Jiuyuan

Her strongest team includes two characters from the Cosmos path, one from Lakshana, and one from Anima. This team focuses on triggering the Charge elemental reaction, which quickly builds 10 Ultimate energy. This makes her passive skill, Hoarding, work smoothly without disrupting the team’s rotation. Jiuyuan contributes crowd control and additional damage to the team.

Zero speeds up Esper cycle completion and offers a small amount of healing, making the team more sustainable. Hathor helps activate the Charge reaction and provides quick, supplemental damage. Chiz is the team’s primary damage dealer, powered by Grain.

Chiz/Mint/Zero/Jiuyuan

This team uses two Anima and two Chaos characters and consistently activates the Blossom reaction, which causes area-of-effect damage. Instead of focusing on one powerful attacker, the team deals damage through the combined strengths of all its members. Mint specifically enhances the Blossom reaction by creating extra Lebenblume, allowing up to six to remain on the field at once.

Is Chiz Worth Pulling in Neverness to Everness

Chiz isn’t currently the most powerful damage dealer in NTE, but she’s great for starting the game, even with a basic team. If you get her, she can help you progress quickly in the early stages.
