PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 1 is closing to its debut this year

Story Highlights

  • A $500,000 prize pool will be shared among teams based on their final rankings.
  • 32 teams from nine regions will compete, with the Grand Finals set for June 6 and 7.

The first global PUBG Mobile tournament of the year, PMGO 2026 Season 1, is about to begin. As planned in the official esports schedule, the competition is drawing near. Teams will battle it out for a share of the $500,000 prize pool, with the ultimate goal of claiming the largest portion for themselves.

Even though leading esports communities and countries like India, China, and Japan aren’t involved, the tournament will still be exciting thanks to the talented players from Southeast Asia.

PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 1: Schedule and Format

To become the 2026 global event champions, teams will need to succeed in three stages. First, the Group Stage begins on June 2nd, 2026, and the top six teams will move on to the Grand Finals. Teams finishing 7th through 14th in their groups will advance to the Survival Stage, where they’ll compete in six matches.

Following that, the Survival Stage will be held on June 4th, 2026. Sixteen teams will compete in six matches, and the top four will advance to the Grand Finals.

The final stage of the competition, called the Grand Finals, will be held on June 6th and 7th. Teams will compete in a total of 12 matches, with a special ‘Smash Rule’ being used on the second day. The team with the most points at the end will be crowned the champion.
