Giddy Amanda Holden holds on tight to best pal Alan Carr as they enjoy a night out at The Ivy

Amanda Holden and her close friend Alan Carr were smiling and cheerful as they exited The Ivy restaurant in London on Tuesday.

The 55-year-old TV presenter looked fantastic on her night out, wearing a sleek black leather dress that hit just below the knee and featured a flattering scooped neckline.

The outfit showed off her amazing body, and she completed the look with heels that made her appear taller.

Amanda finished her outfit by letting her blonde hair flow freely and adding a black clutch.

Alan, age 49, was dressed to impress in a bright red suit. He paired it with a black and red polka dot shirt and brown shoes.

They were spotted laughing and embracing after leaving the upscale event.

I’m hearing that Alan was just days away from finalizing the purchase of his incredible Scottish castle! It’s a stunning property – around £3.25 million, if you can believe it – and he’s planning a full renovation, all documented for a new TV show. It’s going to be a real ‘Traitors’-esque transformation, so I’m excited to see how it all unfolds!

Alan bought Ayton Castle earlier in 2024, and recent photos show off the impressive property.

This expansive estate features 17 bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a five-story tower, a private chapel, and 106 acres of beautiful gardens.

The comedian said he got the survey and is ready to start renovating as soon as he receives the keys.

Okay, so last year was HUGE for Alan! I mean, I always knew he was amazing, but everyone finally got to see it when he absolutely crushed it on Celebrity Traitors! Winning the first series just sent him straight back into the spotlight, and honestly, it was so well-deserved. I’ve been a fan forever, and it was incredible to see him get all the recognition he deserves!

The show’s filming location, Ardross Castle, clearly influenced him to buy a similar, grand estate. He intends to renovate it into a high-end hotel and spa.

Last February, Alan revealed to The Sun that he’d agreed to a multi-million dollar contract with Disney+ to create a show following the restoration of Ayton Castle.

He joked about the purchase, saying that while some people having a midlife crisis buy sports cars or change their appearance, he decided he wanted to buy a castle.

Growing up in Northampton, I’ve always been a dreamer, and I’ve always been fascinated by the beauty and stories behind grand, historic houses.

Now that I’m turning fifty, I’m ready for a big change – I’ve always dreamed of having my own castle and finally crossing that drawbridge!

The new renovation show, currently called ‘Castle Man,’ will follow a format similar to the one used in his previous series with Amanda Holden.

I’m so excited for this new show! I heard it’s being made by Expectation, the brilliant team behind Clarkson’s Farm – they really know how to make a good program, so I have high hopes!

The Daily Mail contacted Alan’s representatives for comment. 

Just last month, Alan revealed he is now a baron after purchasing the £3.25 million castle. 

The celebrity has confirmed he owns the rights to the title ‘The Barony of Ayton’ and is working on designing his own tartan pattern.

The barony dates back to 1324 and was available to purchase alongside the estate. 

Alan, after being on the show Celebrity Traitors, was so inspired that he bought Ayton Castle. He discussed his new purchase and life update with Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson on their podcast, Staying Relevant.

He explained he’s embracing a new phase of life, wanting to create a comfortable, secure existence for himself now that he’s 50. He feels a sense of urgency and wants to prioritize his own desires, knowing his time is finite.

‘I’ve always wanted a castle. I’m a baron. I’m going to get my own tartan.’
